In praise of libgen

Let's just all stop and appreciate that libgen is a thing in the internet. It has saved me so much money with very overpriced math textbooks during college when my family was low-income. It contains virtually all the books, and even obscure ones. It provides low barriers to entry for knowledge for people wanting to advance their...

I've decided to switch to Linux Mint, but i have a lot of pirated games. How to play them with all the cracks and stuff in linux?

I have decided to switch to Linux Mint from windows. I don't use computer for work that much. And for my personal use I'm switching to Linux Mint. I have heard a lot about it. So giving it a try. I know about emulating windows in linux to play window games. But how do you use cracks and stuff?? Does emulating also access my 100%...

Youtube Rant from a paying customer

I used to use NewPipe back in the days of yore. Then I got Youtube Premium since it bundled in Youtube Music as well which I used. But the former's app on mobile is a shit show. Even after paying, you are asked to tip random creators, purchase merchandise[ which are shown as actual ads below videos] and join channels to access...

As stated in the title, I went to some posts and comments that I had bookmarked for some media that I was trying to download. This was on my lemmy.world account. Turns out they're gone. Doing some digging and found out this community was still up but wasn't visible on lemmy.world. what happend?

As for 4K, because I don't have a screen that can display 4K,...

Do you use the device you torrent on for personal things as well?

I'm just curious as I've permanently dedicated my laptop to torrenting. I've been too nervous to install anything but the VPN and Firefox on it. Now, I'm curious to mess around with Linux some more, which is what I use on it, but I can't fully test out what all I can do with it without signing into accounts....

Where should I post a piracy guide?

I've written a guide about how to pirate fonts from a particular subscription service. I'm not sure where I should post it so it can be of help to anyone who is interested. I don't think the mods would be happy if I posted it here, because it might be too much of a liability for the instance if the company behind "particular...
