@finishingDutch@nogooduser lol, you try to find logic. I'm Greek. This government almost constantly tries (and unfortunately manages..) to push measures using some very twisted logic. The main idea behind all these is that they are gonna profit from it. Also by keeping the people busy with work it's gonna make it less likely to act against the government or even socialize with other people, thus worsening any unity among the people. And they mask it as a good measure.
It's the same people who tried to convince us that bringing private universities will be good, again using their illogical logic. (They pushed this during the winter exams so that students wouldn't rise against, but fortunately the gov's actions were met with huge resistance. Still, even after all this they passed the law..)
This political party is trying very hard to dismantle Greece and take us years back years. And it's their second term in a row... It's their 5th year in power in a row and we have at least ~3 more years.......
Now it's fire season, you can watch us as Greece will soon be burning literary and the gov will ~only try to evaccuate areas and blame it to the people instead of being proactive against wildfires (or combating them with proper means).🥲
Haha, I wanted to do something like that for a long time. Btw, you can also find some extra stuff on the cross-posted post I made on Hexbear (they provide a lot of material with nice descriptions too)
Hello again, as I am trying to compile a list from all the suggestions (and my suggestions too) I found it impossible to find your project. If you could provide me a link to bandcamp or something it would be very helpful (if you don't want, it's ok, no problem).
Apart from the repetition of a specific word (which might be an effort to reclaim it), I don't think I saw anything racist. I'm a bit confused. They were more against the industry and seemed a bit feminists.😅
Abou the other band, Stray from the path seems to have a lot of potenial, I might start listening to them.
Moritz Körner, Member of the European Parliament, disclosed the decision on Twitter. Swedish publisher SVG said, “The question was removed at the last moment from Thursday’s ambassadorial meeting in Brussels”.
a) in my city I wear them because we have bad public transportation and people tend to be dangerously packed inside the buses (this issue recently has started to be alleviated), so to protect my self (and also show that things arent well inside) I wear the mask.
b) in other foreign cities I wear the mask in public transportation because:
1)I dont want to be sick on vacations
2)Different countries probably(?) have kinda different strains of viruses and such, so it may be more dangerous for me.
the tags that Deemix gives you are usually pretty decent to start with
Indeed! Deemix also gets tags that OneTagger currently doesnt fetch (Composer, Label, Author etc.).
Genre (along with lyrics) are the tags that probably need most of the work. And because in OneTagger I'm using 3different platofroms (plus whatever deemix got) to fetch the genre tag, it can be a mess. Each platform may categorize songs differently and many times the program wont find a match for all platforms. I have to manually edit them all or create a bunch of different actions to automate this.
You can keep tagging files ~forever and still not have them perfect.. I just stop after when I think it's good enough and I might start tagging them again at another time.
I havent played much with discogs, it seems to have more complete info about songs, but I think I had some trouble finding some of my tracks. For manual genre tagging, I tend to resort to genius which too has a lot of info.
Organizing my library can be kind of soothing
Indeed, I could easily do that if I had enough time. I kinda like organizing stuff and such.
I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask this, but I couldnt find any active uBlock Origin -communities here. Please delete if this is inappropriate to ask....
You could either try going to uBlock and turning on all the filters (apart from unecessary region/language filters) or use this PopUpOff plugin. Popupoff is good, but may break some sites. I have set it to off and ~only use it to specific sites.
Lol, who wants these anyways. One more reason not to use google play services. (Though I have google play services on this phone.)
Automatic AI-powered screen lock for when your phone is snatched.
Theft Detection Lock is a powerful new feature that uses Google AI to sense if someone snatches your phone from your hand and tries to run, bike or drive away. If a common motion associated with theft is detected, your phone screen quickly locks – which helps keep thieves from easily accessing your data.
Yes! I had one, from 2016 till 2020. Ulefone vienna (not a rugged phone).
If you like modding like me, then it's probably not a good idea, as they usually have little community support and the mediatek chipset contributes to this even more.
Back then, I think it did probably had some kind of a malware, but with root I removed it (I could also do it with adb commands if I knew back then).
If you want a hardened phone and for some reason you cant find a proper case to protect your device, then such phones may be suitable, otherwise I'd look somewhere else.
Simple, include sd cards on phones and use usb 3.0 or higher..
(I say that as I am about to wipe my device with ~200gb data and then import them back again through wifi hotspot because wired transfer is slower than wireless and it doesnt have an sd card slot...)
I have usb 2.0 though, so it's gonna be slow ~no matter what😭. I get ~15MB/s on average and it can reach ~40MB/s with wifi hotspot, while usb goes at about ~6MB/s on average and can reach about 30MB/s.
The issue are the small files. Wifi handles them much quicker. Especially listing folders with thousands of files. Opening my camera directory (~8.500 files) with wifi takes about 5seconds, while with usb it takes about ~1-2minutes....
About nas, I would too like to have one and automatically backup everything there. I might build one some time.
I'm transfering data from my phone to an extrernal hard drive which I connect to my laptop. To do the syncing a bit more automated, I've written some WinSCP scripts. I create a local hostpot with my phone, I connect my pc to it and then I move files. (My phone has a dual wifi antenna which allows to have both the hotspot on and connect to my wifi, so I can post this comment without using data.)
The data I transfer are ~all sorts of types; Media files (either from my camera folder or various other folders), text or similar files (I also keep logs of the files on my device to help me restore stuff), encrypted files, backups of apps+data/phone settings/contacts/sms/calls etc. At the moment of writing this I'm transfering about 30-40gb to my pc as I slowly prepare myself for the factory reset.
My workflow is far from automated, but I've made a lot of progress since last year with the help of the scripts.
It's sad though, because backing up and restoring everything now takes about 9hours, while with an sd card I could reduce it to something like half an hour... My next phone will probably be fairphone 6 or 7 in 2028 (now I have a xiaomi mi 10 running custom roms) if it has an sd card slot.
I have about 25gb free out of the 1tb my laptop has, sooo not a good idea, plus it adds complexity. Well, I'll just improve my scripts and try to keep things tidied up so that it becomes easier. (Lol, now I'm post factory reset and I've started importing stuff back to the phone. Till tommorow noon everything may be set up.) Tnx for your interest!
As a side note, I've realized that transfering files from the phone to the laptop (instead straight to the external hard drive) makes the process a lot faster, compared to moving them to the drive directly, but still, I prefer the wireless transfer as I can sync folders easier and it's faster.
I'm sick of random capitalisations mid sentence. I'm sick of common words being replaced by less common ones or even downright nonsense. I'm sick of it taking three attempts to successfully get the word I want. I swear it's been like this for five years or more. Can we have a better version yet, or at least the old one back?
I dont like autocorrect both for privacy reasons (though there might be open source ones) and for accuracy reasons. I dont want something else to write for me what it thinks I want to say. (Hence I'm using a customized keyboard in florisboard beta which looks almost the same as gboard.😌)
I have a mi 10 running xiaomi.eu (hyperOS/android 13) and I'm plannijg to keep it ~as much as I can, till about 2028. ~Hopefully there'll be a Fairphone 7 available till then to buy.
I read in some places some time ago that Xiaomi will be making things more difficult in the future. If updating to HyperOS will make things harder so I'll pass. If someone has recent experiences about this topic that would be appreciated
