If Mobilism doesn't have it, I search Google and try whatever sites come up. If that doesn't find the right thing I just assume it doesn't exist. Depending on what I want, I also try making the apk myself with Lucky Patcher.
Depends, usually searching for the apk with version code (or at best package name) works fine especially when you need specific youtube versions for revanced, or premium unlocked apks.
that link doesn't actually have the APK as far as I can figure out. when I hit the download button, it just opens a search page for the rest of their apks
Oh. I don't know anything about this. Is it weird for an app to be pulled from all of these sites? Do they have a way for the original developer to take it down if they want or some kind of flagging? Does your new phone have a higher Android build, maybe the site checks somehow to match with the right version and then fails? Wild guesses
new phone. the app is still installed on my old phone, I tried using Smart Switch to transfer it. is there an easy way to get the APK off my old phone without root?
Pretty sure its because of the piracy shield thingy. Secure Core might be an option as long as no Italian servers are used and you're using the VPNs DNS
“[A]ll parties in any capacity involved in the accessibility of illegally disseminated content – and therefore also, by way of example and not limitation – VPN and open DNS service providers, will have to execute the blocks requested by the Authority [AGCOM],” the notice read.
It's possible that the app has been disabled on the Play store if the developer has failed to raise the SDK level. A bunch of apps have been delisted for that reason.
If you still have the purchase email you may be able to contact the developer about it.
Try going through TOR to confirm its not a router software thing, if it works, you need another DNS (NextDNS is good) and then try again with Proton, if that doesn't work connect over a proxy or TOR with VPN.
Search "what is my ip" on your web search engine to see without and with a VPN connection, to see if you're really going through the VPN tunnel. Seems like you aren't.
I'm thinking it must be a DNS configuration issue... Every server with ProtonVPN is showing the same, from the US to Netherlands to Switzerland. All of them.
