supervent , to Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ in Do I really need a VPN for pirating?

You could use i2p for torrent it is free and secure, but slow

supervent , to Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ in Is it possible to safely torrent without a VPN?

It's just Germany, the rest of Europe (EU and non-EU) doesn't actively care about them unless it's cp.

supervent , to Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ in Where is the true succesor to eMule?

It's still my favorite network (using it from more 20 years ago), but for the latest things I use bittorrent and seed to both networks (bittorrent and ed2k/kad) through mldonkey 24/7.

supervent , to Selfhosted in What should I run and why?

Well you could run these services in your server (only if you have enough spare bandwidth, ram and cpu) to help the comunity to circumvent censorship in some countries, like Russia or Iran. Here you have more information for tor and i2pd.

supervent , to Selfhosted in What should I run and why?

Tor relay (guard/middle or bridge/snowflake) and i2p node (i2p, i2p+ or i2pd)

supervent , to Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ in How do I share stuff nowadays?

Maybe you could try ed2k/kad (emule/amule/mldonkey), soulseek or dc++ networks. Just drop the files in the sharing folders and seed. My preference is ed2k/kad.

supervent , to Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ in I know this is not how dbzer0 works, but can you help me get cs 1.6 working on my linux system ?

This is the MINIMUM:
OS: Ubuntu 20.04
Processor: 4 hardware CPU threads - Intel® Core™ i5 750 or higher
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD GCN+ or NVIDIA Kepler+ with up-to-date Vulkan drivers. Support for VK_EXT_graphics_pipeline_library highly recommended.
Storage: 85 GB available space
Sound Card: Highly recommended

You should try with your CPU and GPU

I know you are asking for cs 1.6, but do you know counter strike 2 is free on steam and have compatibility with Linux?
