beeng , to Coffee in What's in your cup this week?

Heating up around here so I'm onto to cold brew. Basically a fine mesh strainer cup in a jar that I let sit overnight. 40 grams lasts 2 days.

Give it a good shake when I make it. Roughly 18 hours steep then it's good to go the next day, nice and cold out of the fridge.

If I'm fasting I have it with just an ice block, but if I'm not ill have it with oat milk in a tall glass, maybe 80 coffee, 20 oat milk.
good shit!

There is still the real vnc lite version btw. 3 machines

beeng , to Selfhosted in Anytype Selfhosted

Portable in the sense there is no lock in
ie I can get up and leave with my data.

It's a bit hard to do that with anytype.

If they stopped producing features or I wanted my data in another program, I'm stuck with a "Open source" format, but no where to go...

Unless that has changed, then I would take a look again.

beeng , to Selfhosted in Anytype Selfhosted

AFAIK they have a proprietary data format so your files aren't really that portable. Therefore I suggest obsidian and syncthing together.

It's like buying a very expensive pool, even though it costs money to run and service, you already bought it and will invite people to come and swim in it to justify the purchase, even though it's a giant money sink.

You can't just give it back that's also wasting money, so what are you going to do?

Companies have heavy commercial real estate bags. They are justifying their investments by forcing RTO

Node red is for visual node programming.
I don't think you'll need to be writing node.js

Ive used it for years and wrote more bash / python for those nodes than I even touched js.

beeng , to Coffee in How much coffee do y'all typically drink in a sitting?

15g in a French press for the morning.

Afternoon maybe a mate / green tea if I am feeling adventurous and wanting to get plenty done with headphones on.
