Dude, I live in South Africa. The original apartheid state. I've had enough debates in this current day with people who still wish for the days under apartheid. And you know what it was always a waste of time.
I was conscripted to a genocidal states army when I was still a kid. Luckily it was during the times of change so I wasn't forced into the horrors that older friends and family were. And they did those things because they believed they had no choice but you always have a choice, which is why they conscript 18 year old children.
But we still should have taken the morally correct path and refused to be a part of that army.
Just so you know my opinion does have some scientific backing. And yes I am aware that one of the options is for the person to change their view but as I've said that's never the people I interact with. Maybe I'm just shit at getting my point across.
