So awkward, but come on it says right there on the package to wash those mushrooms or whatever it is… You’re not their mom but you don’t wanna eat feces or whatever ended up on the produce. A quick rinse is never going to be perfect but it’s better than nothing....
Sometimes on Lemmy these seem like the only jobs that actually exist, but I'm sure there's a lot of people here with different and unusual lines of work.
Machine maintenance / Macgyver. We make air filters and I have to make sure the machines that make them are running.
I also do any other random jobs. Currently I'm creating a simple webpage to submit machine issues that get sent to a Google sheet and an email sent out.
I also machine metal replacement parts. Of course I make any personal projects I want to as well.
Same. I like to be around a group so I can interject a one liner but not have to hold up half the conversation. Aaaand now I remember doing that and feeling sad when no one listened
I have one broad interest that manifests in many ways: I like to make things. From a D&D table, to a workbench, to glowing led hex panels, to making automated blinds from scratch, to cutting worm gears, to internal keyway cutters, to sex machines, to syncing up videos to said sex machines, to grind rails and ramps for skating, to gearboxes, to spool un-winders, to book presses, to rpi powered media centers, to pi arcades, to bed frames.....just to name a few.
How do you get people to wash their vegetables when you're at their house and you don't wanna seem rude?

If you don't work IT, retail, or food service what do you do for work?
