Ken Larson was awarded the Bronze Star during two military tours in Vietnam. His career subsequently spanned 36 years with major aerospace and defense companies and small business consulting. Ken received the SCORE National Achievement Award in 2010 and the MicroMentor Award for Outstanding Service In Mentorship in 2021. Micro Mentor and SCORE are non-profit organization offering free assistance to small business in business planning, operations, marketing and other aspects of success.

Your work is an exquisite use of simile in tying a simple leaf's appearance to human emotion and demeanor.

I find similar satisfaction in such expressions, although not nearly as simple and elegant as your passages,

Cold Feet

February: Visiting a frozen waterfall in the Highlands of with a guide, and he led one of our party across the knee-deep snow to a safe viewpoint. I wasn't confident enough to follow them!

Hrafnabjargafoss is only really accessible in summer, because it is located on a highland road that is closed to the public in the winter months. Even in summer, it can only be reached safely in a 4WD vehicle.

    Frigid climates do indeed perform impressive landscapes. Your pic admirably juxtaposes our meager physical presence to nature's majesty I always shiver a bit when I pass by this Minnesota artistry at 20 below zero.
