Das Buchcover ist rot mit einer Buntstiftzeichnung von Timm und dem karierten Herrn.     2/20 "Kochvergnügen Vegetarisch"
    Not a novel, but a book that saved me when everyone in my family refused to cook vegetarian food. I still have the book and it now sits among many other great vegan and vegetarian cookbooks.

    Sehr abgegriffenes Buch: "Kochvergnügen Vegetarisch" von Dagmar von Cramm. Auf dem Buchcover ist ein Foto von einer Gemüsepfanne abgebildet. Kein Roman, aber ein Buch, das mich gerettet hat, weil alle in meiner Familie sich damals weigerten, vegetarisch zu kochen. Ich habe das Buch immer noch und es steht jetzt zwischen vielen anderen tollen Kochbüchern.

    3/20 "Der Weg in die Berge. Eine Frau bei der kurdischen Befreiungsbewegung"

    Ein etwas abgegriffenes Buch. Der Einband ist grau mit einem Schwarzweißfoto von zwei jungen Frauen in den Bergen. Beide tragen einen Rucksack und ein Gewehr. Der Titel steht in roten Buchstaben unter dem Foto: "Der Weg in die Berge". Der Untertitel ist schwarz: "Eine Frau bei der kurdischen Befreiungsbewegung" Der Name der Autorin, Carla Solina, steht in weißen Buchstaben zwischen den Zeilen. Der Verlag, Edition Nautilus, steht in sehr kleiner Schrift am unteren Rand.

    5/20 "Vakantiefietsen", "Einfälle statt Abfälle"
    These books are extremely useful. They taught me almost everything I know about repairing a bike.

    This book was used for primary school children in the GDR. After 1989, the topics of this type of social studies lesson changed. It is a black paperback book with photos. At the top is the title of the book, "Heimatkunde 3". The rest of the page is filled with 6 photos: in the left corner a picture of a factory with a man working on a machine; next to it a small close-up of flowers with a bee; in the middle a larger picture of a group of soldiers; in the left corner a photo of a demonstration with people carrying GDR flags; in the right corner a picture of a cow and a picture of the symbol for protected nature reservoir.

    Lese gerade das Graphic Novel „Genossin Kuckuck“ über das Großwerden in der DDR von der preisgekrönten Anke Feuchtenberger.

    Es hat was Surrealistisches und Träumerisches, aber auch manchmal ein bisschen Beängstigendes...

    Heute „Genossin Kuckuck“ fertig lesen können. Ich musste das Buch regelmäßig weglegen. Es war einfach zu düster für mich. Die vielen Andeutungen von Gewalt sind mir unter die Haut gegangen auch wenn es oft surreal dargestellt wurde, irgendwo zwischen Wirklichkeit und Traum.
