Using Mbin as a backup to my main Kbin account due to tech issues on Kbin.social. May either switch to this one permanently or abandon it, depending on how Kbin's development goes. All my active fedi accounts are linked.
If done in a controlled environment, it's apparently very tasty! I recently stumbled upon a tutorial somebody made recently about how to make watermelon jerky with a dehydrator. Apparently the flavor gets significantly sweeter. He was making it for hiking/survival purposes, so removing all the water weight lets you pack a lot of lightweight nutrients, too.
I was fully expecting this to be some blown-out-of-proportion nonsense, like a "Sign up" button next to a switch or slider in the settings menu for something that would pertain to Game Pass. Nope, it's a full block of the window dedicated just to an ad, not pertinent to any surrounding settings. Hella egregious.
And instead mentions Bluesky, which I wouldn't even really classify as part of the Fediverse. Sure, it's federated, but it's pretty much just federated with its own self, and isn't accessible from any part of the Fediverse at large.
Lack of voice chat, message history, media hosting, screen sharing, or just about any other feature most people actually want these days. The people who want a live, purely text-only service are a stark minority anymore.
