@kde@kde Guess what, Firefox does the same thing (a refresh will reset your privacy settings and your default browser, all of which affect Mozilla’s revenue streams) but they’re a tad sneakier/cleverer(?) about it.
(Firefox is not private by default so getting you to reset your settings is how they try to influence you to return to their preferred configuration.)
Giving @librewolf a try. I like the idea of a browser specifically hardened against browser fingerprinting and tracking. Runs all of my existing Firefox plugins with no problems

if you have traffic stats on your system you'll see bytes trickling in the moment you render the html - not when you click the Play button. This is acknowledged in the devtools network-tab after it is fetched in full
until fetched in full, the Play button will not stream the audio file
