Just finished “Record of a Spaceborn Few,” by Becky Chambers

Set in the same universe as (and with some references to) her “The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet,” and “A Closed and Common Orbit,” this is a another lovely, humane look at community, belonging, history and intentionality.

? I haven't been posting about books much, been kind of in a meh mood. Still slowly reading Demon Copperhead, which is amazing but a LOT. Listened to Carrie Soto is Back, which was a bit of a hard sell because of the unlikable narrator but very enjoyable in the end. And just finished The Prisoner's Throne which I enjoyed but kind of forgot about as soon as I'd finished it.

I know I have several ero rom authors and readers as connections, so here we go! I looked at my spreadsheet and I have a few books ready to go. 🙀 So I'm asking readers to let me know which one they'd like to see first.

Here's the survey: https://forms.gle/tTsXiXks7pUniQRV7

Also got a question about interest in a membership group that includes 125+ books from 5 pen names.

My 2024 reading thread is below!

Book 1: On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden

5 stars

Stunning art, lovely found family, and a fun sci fi setting, all while managing to strike the perfect balance between cozy and yearning.

Book 19 of 2024: Gemina by Kaufman and Kristoff

4.5 stars

A rare case where the sequel is better than the first book! I found the romance in this one more compelling, and the characters a little better-drawn and realistic. The ergodic elements continued to be interesting and well-integrated with the visual design. Several plot twists made me gasp aloud. I'm now impatiently waiting on my library hold for the final book in the trilogy to come through!
