When the daughter of a diplomat fake dates a Scottish celebrity in Italy, she soon finds herself living her own Roman Holiday until the feelings get real and the paparazzi's knives come out.
Two friends who have unhappily found themselves in an accidental relationship try to drive the other one to call things off in this tongue-in-cheek middle grade romance.
Romance Writers of America (RWA) is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, in part because of years of controversy surrounding race and inclusion. The trade association was founded by a Black woman in 1980 but became progressively whiter and less supportive of Black writers, awarded controversial books and in 2005, polled members on if romance should be defined as between one man and one woman. Despite all this, romance itself is thriving — it's the highest-earning fiction genre and sales are climbing. NBC took a look at what went wrong at the RWA. 'A very enjoyable read with an unusual setting, a believable romance, main and secondary characters with depth, genealogy research and family secrets and intrigue.' Goodreads Reader Review
Just finished Iron Flame, part 1, and the Graphic Audio version had me hooked! I like it better than the one made by Recorded Books, but so can't wait for part 2 to come out! Although, a few romance writing quibbles with this one, like the chase, and the payoff, I still think Violet didn't get what she needed from Xaden Riorson confession at the end, but still, highly recommend! There are some ways the eBook is written though, with the italics, that I feel weren't captured via audio but I didn't stop reading! https://www.graphicaudio.net/the-empyrean-2-iron-flame-1-of-2.html#Romance#RomanceLandia@romancelandia@romancebooks
If you are looking for scorching hot romance / literary erotica (with seriously good writing), I warmly recommend "First Date" by L.L. Williams.
Sean is a few years older than Jessica, soft-spoken, gentle, and very, very, hot. When he invites her out, she's not sure if it's a date-date... but she's increasingly keen to find out.
Dionysus in Wisconsin won third place at the New England Romance Writers Readers' Choice awards in the fantasy/paranormal category. I am definitely going to be cool about this and not use it as an excuse to call myself an AWARD-WINNING AUTHOR at every turn because that would be obnoxious.
'Best book I have read in years! I cannot remember being so engrossed in a story. I felt that I knew Rachel and Matthew. Romantic, funny, witty. Just sad I have finished it.' Amazon Review
“I had no idea that I would be sucked in and completely absorbed with it for two days until I finished it! I fell in love with the characters flaws and all!…I found this book to be a great read. The author really drew me in and is an amazing story teller.” Goodreads Review
