Read as a whole body of work (which has taken me many months) Gerard Manley Hopkins’s poetry is a tragic and audacious testament to an extraordinary creative spirit. #gerardmanleyhopkins#poetry#books#bookstadon@bookstadon
Maybe you're looking for adventure instead? These 97 books are all FREE #FantasyAdventure books! I have two novellas and an epic fantasy book in this group, alongside authors like SG Prince and Paul Bennett.

32 Murder most royal, SJ Bennett. the third entry in the series featuring HM the Queen as a detective, working through her Assistant Private Secretary, is set at Sandringham at Christmas. A severed hand is washed up on the beach and the Queen identified the likely victim as Ned St Cyr. The case is complicated by the friendship and the rules of inheritance while it takes on a darker hue than previous books in the motive.
It's an affectionate portrait of a missed monarch. #books@bookstodon
May the Fourth is also my latest book's birthday 🎉
Domesticated Magic is a romantic fantasy towards the cosy end of the spectrum, with The Feels, and a grumpy-sunshine-type m/m pairing.
Mateo and his family fled when their people turned to sorcery. Mateo’s own magic is tame but it’s still banned in their new home...yet they use it every day. But the sorcery seems to have followed them. They already lost their world once. Mateo can’t let them lose again.
A SCANDALOUS 1865 DIVORCE case offers a window into New York high society—the defendant was a cousin of Edith Wharton, no less—and the time’s changing attitudes about marriage, women’s rights, and sexuality. Great balance of gossip and context. B PLUS
I'm very excited to finally be able to make this announcement!
Coming May 5th, I'll be doing a cover and title reveal for the rebrand for my indie novel series, Below the Heavens. I can't wait to show you all this amazing art!
This is turning out to be a book I'm not terribly excited about: The Dog Of The South by Charles Portis. The tone sort of reminds me of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but set in Texas and Mexico and without the hardcore drugs. Parts are funny, but mostly it kind of drags and I'm not sure what the point is. If I wasn't already more than halfway through, I'd probably add it to the DNF pile. #FridayReads#AmReading#Books#Fiction#Bookstodon@bookstodon
Two pieces of good news this week! The first 3 Accidental Detective humorous mystery novels will come out in audio! PLUS HarperCollins/Harlequin contracted for the mass market paperback rights of something Shady at Sunshine Haven. (Mass-market is the small paperback size. Right now they're in trade paperback.) These options should bring the books to more readers. I don't know yet when they'll be out though. #Books@bookstodon#mystery#cozy
