Every day you're given a task
a secret gift you must unmask.
It's always there, on your best days and worst.

It's the real reason you exist
to see that of which you consist:
Cosmos observing itself from within.

Everything else matters little:
a firm hold on something brittle
that crumbles inevitably in time.

A poet
condenses
what they know

into forms
with constraints:
with known rules.

Their language
is chosen
carefully.

Crickets
are all I hear
when I post poetry
to corporate social media.
So loud!

You're a loon
to write a Collom 'Lune.'
I'm not joking!

It's way better to
write Kelly's...
I just don't know why.

It's outrageous! Infuriating!
Every life is a tragic arc,
and there's nothing to be done
to bend it otherwise.
Watching a train wreck
while on the train,
Our best hope?
To be
numb.

We write poetry constantly, unknowingly,
in our endless gush of posts.
I say this ferociously, unjokingly.
We write poetry constantly, unknowingly,
whether heroically or stoically,
humbly mumbled or in boasts.
We write poetry constantly, unknowingly,
in our endless gush of posts.

At some point they must have purpose,
these words we write one another.
All the empty ones are worthless
and blur our lives' vital sharpness.
Meaningful words make a rupture.

I think,
but you have an
intellection, you say.
I roll my eyes all the way back
and scoff.

They told me
of your death
but not how

I get it
it's a lot
to take in

The less said
the better
so zip it

act of god
they called it
way back when

less was known
that's for sure
but today

some people
keep themselves
in the dark

tells a story

let your nonsense flow out
all we hear is just another

Write, delete, write, delete, write, delete...
That's how my morning is going.
It's how my life is going.
Write, delete, write, delete...
At the end, I'll be
a still cursor,
flashing, on
a blank
page.
