Fragile do as you are being told follow the example that is given to you work hard to fit in with your surroundings and I tried, I gave my all but I am too fragile I cannot do to myself or you as you do I cannot follow your example and be like you I cannot fit in as you do albeit I tried, I gave my all but I am too fragile I held still when you told me to so you could feast on my innocence and I was good at that until innocence loomed to turn to shame and still you told me to hold still and I tried, I gave my all but I am too fragile and when you meandered to the abyss and stared into the bottomless darkness I followed your example and I was good at that until you pushed me over the edge and expected me to do the same to you and I tried, I gave my all but I was too fragile and I worked hard to get ground under my feet to be able to be with you and to stand by your side and I was good at that starting from scratch over and over again and I tried, I gave my all until I realised I am too fragile to hate myself. Weak You think I am weak because my heart can break for another one’s sake. You think I am weak because I do not shield myself on the battle field. You think I am weak because I cry in the night after the fight. But you do not know what it takes to allow your own heart to break for another one’s sake. And you do not know how it feels to stand on the battle field without any shield. No, you do not know how to hold on tight to love, after the fight while crying in the night. You believe that only fight makes you strong and that once you have won your feeling of insignificance will cease. Until next time. And your armour and shield keep you stuck in the blood on that field meanwhile. But I choose to spark love in my heart.
