@negative12dollarbill@bookstodon oh my goodness, this does sound like an emotional gut-punch. Reminds me a little of Heaven, by Mieko Kawakami, which was a terrifying glimpse of bullying in Japanese schools.
At the store and came across a pretty discounted hardcover copy of "Demon Copperhead" by Barbara Kingsolver. It is worth purchasing a physical copy? I usually try to stick to library books and purchase books I really like, but the library wait list is long and the price is tempting.
About to travel and was looking for something good to read.
That's helped me find it with a double T: “The vulgar word for a skeleton.” and also a verb:

Eight years ago, a woman named Laurene asked writer Richard Kelly Kemick to finish her late husband's novel, a book he had planned to finish upon retirement from his career as a surveyor, but never got the chance. You've got to assume a little tongue in cheek here, but yes, good point. These open-source prostitutes are depriving Big Harlotry of their rightful cut.
