I'm sorry to say I have a point of criticism: He was not quoting from another religion's holy text. It was the Torah he was quoting. Large parts of which, yes, were taken to form the old testament, so the text is the same and the horrifying message doesn't change. It just feels really weird to see the speach of someone Jewish explained as though he were a Christian.
I hope you don't mind the criticism, because other than this, I very much appreciated your explanation.
