As for the Amaleks, Netanyahu again gets it horribly wrong because no one knows who they were. At any rate, he is a war criminal and wrapping himself in Torah changes nothing.

Religion is stupid and so are religious people. In this case, religion is just a mask for white supremacy and settler colonialism. Maybe Netanyahu could also reference Alice in Wonderland.
I'm sorry to say I have a point of criticism: He was not quoting from another religion's holy text. It was the Torah he was quoting. Large parts of which, yes, were taken to form the old testament, so the text is the same and the horrifying message doesn't change. It just feels really weird to see the speach of someone Jewish explained as though he were a Christian.
I hope you don't mind the criticism, because other than this, I very much appreciated your explanation.
