Has anyone got BO4 running reasonably well? I can get it running and join games easy enough, but there’s sever graphical issues, all the textures blend together when moving the mouse....

I moved to Linux Mint fairly recently but still dual boot for a couple of programs that require Windows. I avoid Windows when I can but I like to play The Sims 4 and want to play it on Linux so I tried to install it on Steam (I own it on EA but it's free on Steam right now and I haven't been able to get Bottles to run the EA app...

Gamescope, the microcompositor from Valve that is used on the Steam Deck that can also be used on desktop Linux, just got a major upgrade....

Hi, I would like to now if there is any closed source nvidia driver (the better one for gaming) for Nvidia Quadro FX1800. I wanted to show my brother some of linuxon my old laptop and I don't want to make him bugged off by lack of gaming on it.

I've got a new 7840HS laptop, and have noticed some stability issues with games on Steam under Proton that run fine on my desktop with a 5700xt. I know the 7840 line is pretty new and not a lot out in the world yet, but has anyone noticed similar issues?

TLDR: From my experience, in 2023, the Mesa drivers with an AMD GPU provide an experience that is way better than NVIDIA with their proprietary drivers. And if you're helping a friend get into linux, and or linux gaming I think you should steer them towards an AMD GPU....

Does anyone here have experience with gaming on immutable distros like Fedora Silverblue, Fedora Kinote, OpenSUSE MicroOS or any other general desktop variants? I know SteamOS 3 and ChimeraOS are both immutable, but they come with all kernel mods and libraries baked in....
