Oh that's interesting about the new owners having destroyed dealer confidence. I still ride my 2017 Jake all the time. I wonder if my LBS still carries Konas now...

I've got a soft spot for Kona - I've owned at least 5 that I can think of including my very first mountain bike which got me addicted to the sport. That bike now hangs on the wall of my office.

I hope the brand gets back on track and building fun, high value, unpretentious, tough as nails bikes.

That's nice, i thought they had some cool bikes.

Yeah, I was disappointed to hear they were going out of business.

“We believed that the new owners would carry our vision forward and continue to build great bikes, employ great people, and deliver on the promise of quality, fun and a little weirdness that had defined Kona for so long,” co-founders Jake Heilbron and Dan Gerhard wrote

I’m sure that’s always how it goes when you sell out to private equity…

Not familiar with the brand but glad they’re back in good (better?) hands.

Yea, they started like 20 years ago(?) making great bikes, low production, (If memory serves). I haven't paid attention in a long time, just wanted one back then.
