When I started reading about Asperger’s 15 years ago they still said autistic kids had “Little Professor Syndrome”. Which is both true and unkind. It’s so odd that most people past a certain age seem to lose all curiosity and refuse to learn new things. Reject all things new and unfamiliar. And then they shame us for staying interested in the wonders of the world, and call it a “delayed development”.
