As a child I was always set apart from my peers for all sorts of stuff, from gifted/talented to social anxiety & issues with hygiene & being bullied, but I had no idea I was autistic until a friend suggested in 2023 that I look into it. Like you, I tested high. I, too suffered head trauma (car accident) in my 40s & that might have aggravated some sensitivity issues but I'm pretty certain I'm autistic.
