YottaDren , in The Computer Chronicles - Windows 3.0 (1990)

I didn't think I would enjoy watching that as much as I did.

If you enjoyed it, you'd probably like other The Computer Chronicles episodes. They have that nostalgia kick, but they're also just really well produced.

Nakoichi , in The X-Files - Mulder Cooks a Vampire (S02E07 "3" Clip) (1994)

I binge the series every handful of years. It stands up to the test of time pretty well.

It really does. One of my favorite little details you can check for yourself is the disparity in trigger discipline between Mulder and Scully.

I am not sure if that was intentional or just because Gillian Anderson actually has firearm training but I always found that really funny.

Also funny is that this one episode is one of the only times Mulder does exercise proper trigger discipline when he encounters the black dude on night watch.

Mulder has successfully excised internalized racism.

Speculater , in 3rd Rock From The Sun - Dick Dances (S01E02 "Post-Nasal Dick" Clip) (1996)

ALRIGHT! WE'RE HAVING SEX TONIGHT!

pelletbucket , in Seinfeld - The Pothole (S08E16 Clips) (1997)

I don't like Jerry Seinfeld at all so clips like this with barely any of him are perfect

stembolts , in MTV - The Real World: Seattle (S07E00) (1998)

I was trying to find a complete torrent collection of real world for my seed box but was unable. I'll keep searching!

You might have luck at archive.org

wesker OP Mod , in Macarena Dance Record at Yankee Stadium (1996)

Imagine downvoting a video of people doing The Macarena, and thinking you're on the right side of history.

Mongostein , in CBS Evening News - New Computer Users (1995)

In case it’s not available in your country, like it wasn’t for me

Thank you!

Mongostein ,

No prob. It was a fun watch. :D

I remember those PC for Dummies books. I mean, the series is still going, but I haven’t looked at one in ages.

I think the PC ones were what started the series. I might be wrong.

prole , in ReBoot on YTV with commercials (My Old VHS Tapes)

I remember the final (third?) season of this show getting fucking deep and kind of dark in terms of the entire show's arc. Blew my little child brain lol...

fox2263 , in ReBoot on YTV with commercials (My Old VHS Tapes)

How did you digitise your tapes?

wesker Mod ,
@wesker@lemmy.sdf.org avatar

I'm not OP, but I've had good luck with a high quality VHS deck and an elgato video capture.

I want to invest in a Domesday Duplicator this year, which should provide an even better quality.

fox2263 ,

I was tempted by the elgato but I watched a video that showed it was poor quality.

Perhaps a VHS to DVD recorder is the way to go

wesker Mod ,
@wesker@lemmy.sdf.org avatar

I've been perfectly satisfied using the S-Video on the elgato. If you use composite, not so great.

fox2263 ,

Are you confined to using their software or can you use other software if such a thing exists?

JizzmasterD , in Eek! The Cat - Misereek (S01E01) (1992)

It never hurts to help!
