Early in the morning on the 24th March 1914 two trains arrived at the Railway station in carrying the first generation of recruits from the newly liberated regions, Old and Southern Serbia. After the official reception, the recruits headed via central city streets towards the barracks in the Upper Town of Kalemegdan Fortress.

Courtesy of the of the Revolution of the Peoples of , inventory numbers: 6331, 6339, 6343, 6359 and 6360. The were bought from Vojin Đorđević from on 26.01.1965.

After the capture of Yugoslavia in April of 1941, the was designated as the storehouse for the captured equipment, ammunition, weapons and petrol of the Royal Yugoslav Army, which was to be used in the attack on the USSR. 🔽
