Summer And Winter

This is Gluggafoss, the "Window Waterfall". A slab of near-vertical rock interrupts the drop of the water, causing it to bounce from one face to the other.

The little concrete bridge across the river Þórðará at the bottom right is still functional, although it doesn't look it!

Another photo of the same waterfall, this time in winter. The water flow is less, the grassy banks are now brown and gold but everything else is very similar, except that there are no visitors this time.

A photo of a waterfall in summer, with white water dropping from the top of a grassy green bank. There are three actual drops - one is visible at the top of the shot, one in the centre and the final one almost at ground level. In the foreground on the right is a small road bridge across the water flowing away from the falls, a car parking area is next to it and one vehicle is parked near the waterfall. A few people can be seen climbing a gravel path and steps along one side of the drops, giving the scene scale.
