Help needed on in !

I found this image below in the Frankfurt UB colonial photo archive without any description. It shows a group of and soldiers in front of a building with a wire fence.
Does anyone know of any context? During the and in maybe?

Black and white photograph showing a large building with an old German flag on top. It is surrounded by a barbed wire fence. Outside the fence there is a group of 5 apparently African persons sitting on the floor. Two white men in white uniforms and helmets stand next to them. One African soldier with a rifle is standing behind the fence apparently guarding the building.

    Ohne Kontext könnte das in jeder deutschen Kolonie gewesen sein. Oder sogar woanders.
    Diese weissen Uniformen waren m.W. in Süd-West-Afrika unüblich, daher würde ich auch eher auf Ost-Afrika tippen.

    Ich kenne den Kontext nicht, aber auf der linken Seite scheint ein "Askari" zu stehen. Das würde auf Deutsch-Ostafrika hindeuten.

    @JochenLingelba1 @histodons @historikerinnen @africanstudies @rheinze @todzi To me the "1896 Schutztruppe NCOs Helmet" looks like the closest match.

    It also says: "... South West African Schutztruppe
    Tropical helmets were introduced for the South West African Schutztruppe in 1892. [...] These helmets were discarded in the mid 1890s. The Schutztruppe of South West Africa did not wear sun helmets thereafter. ..."

    That would be before the Herrero and Nama Genocide.
