Hello, Hatsu is a self-hosted Fediverse bridge for static websites....
One thing I miss from Twitter that Mastodon has only partially is to be able to search through the network for some keywords, like breaking news, events, and so on, so I can see other people takes on that....
So I know that there are some limitations for federation, especially if you are on a smaller instance. On Mastodon I stumble upon this problem on a daily basis. Here is an example. My account is on a smaller local instance (social.cologne) and in the following picture is a post of Eugen Rochko (which I follow):...
I just learned about the Fediverse in May. I now have a Lemmy account, and a Mastadon account....
Any topic!
For the past few years, I've been running a tech blog focused on the Fediverse. It's evolving into a bonfide news organization.
The Fediverse has, not one, but two different streaming platforms readily available to people. They both work a bit differently...but, both of them work great with OBS Studio. We dive in to how to set each up.

!hackernews used to be a feed posting things from the orange site. It stopped 3 months ago. Does anyone know how to get it back in action, or is there another somewhere else I can subscribe to?
What's going on with the server? My alt account lives there and he could use a welfare visit. It's been offline for at least three days....
Emissary is a revolutionary next-gen Web platform that lets you tinker with every little bit of it. It works with the Fediverse, is built on IndieWeb principles, and looks incredible.
Looks like another microblogging service promising Fediverse integration.
If the spirit of the fediverse is to spread everything across small instances, then i think it would be really important to make communities, especially niche communities, easier to discover across instances. Since it is not planned to crawl federated instances community catalog, i think instance admins, or maybe even the lemmy...
Lemmy users, you can now vote for your favourite song in Lemmyvision's song contest, an Eurovision-like song contest, in which various instances submitted a song of their choice!...
I realise this is a known issue and that lemmy.world isn't the only instance that does this. Also, I'm aware that there are other things affecting federation. But I'm seeing some things not federate, and can't help thinking that things would be going smoother if all the output from the biggest lemmy instance wasn't 50% spam....
By novel I mean not emulating an existing popular platform, e.g. Lemmy-Reddit, Mastodon-Twitter, etc.
I'm trying to find an android mastodon app that can handle links from outside the app and open them in the app. Tusky is not going to implement this feature request and I haven't seen anything from the official app nor Fedilab....
