Trying to get an idea of how NTs see us. I know that when I see autistic people, I see someone that's like me. Obviously, that's not how NTs perceive us, so what do we look like to yall??
even for normal people they're not really designed with human joy in mind....but GOD it's miserable trying to start a real thing just from cold texting...
They did two simulations of sensory sensitivity. I thought it was going to be bs, but when they did the park and mall videos, I laughed because I found it to be so true for me. Then, I realized that NTs live like they're in a movie: they can focus only on what they intend to focus by tuning everything else out. Wowwwww....
The trigger warning is because the topic can be emotionally heavy for autistics since it talks about the social abuse autistics endure and how we react to it by masking. The guy has an apparent justifiably angry tone throughout the video. Otherwise, I think it is fine and there are no sensory issues to worry about....
