Two unexpected benefits of giving up :

I'm no longer as sensitive to sound as I was. That's a major win.

Overall I'm much less anxious too.

Just in time for , Alhamdulillah. The noise level in Mecca during Dhul Hijjah is famously bananas.

Even so, are earplugs allowed? Less sensitivity probably doesn't mean none.

@pathfinder @actuallyautistic oh I am bringing two sets of Loops, Insha Allah. But it's nice to know that, if I forget to put them in when going outside, the sound probably won't decimate me as it once would have.
