Are you black? Because within the black community especially when you’re young, you get ridiculed shamed and shunned for being a darker skin. Many in the community want to reach the proximity of whiteness in someway since they were born. Tell this day many white people can’t achieve what they want to too lack of free sources or them not able to have the opportunity due to their skin tone. I’m my area, It’s hard to get a job if you’re black in the field that I’m in because they want a certain look. Unless you’re gonna be a home healthcare aid, delivery, driver, housekeeper, or cook in a restaurant they don’t want you here. I always wanted a lighter skin, straight hair, light eyes. Why can’t I achieve that? Why can’t you just accept it?
