@faab64@palestine@israel No one set up tents to protest nam. They occupied buildings. Vandalized darpanet computers (Courant Institute NYU, and eleswhere). Burned and trashed Recruiting Offices in the dark of night. Blocked major city streets. That sort of Protest.💥🔥
@faab64@palestine@israel Correcting an error in the meme is not without a legitimate purpose. I have a history of that era genetically imprinted, and a pretty good idea of how it was 'defused' postfacto by the media... and much of that defusing was based on feeding the public misconceptions about what actually happened. In this case, tent protests ... was no such thing. The action was in the streets on our feets. Didn't need tents at occupied university buildings either.
