In his speech on Thursday, Israeli president Herzog expressed his support for Jewish communities around the world and gave them a message of strength, in light of what he describes as proliferation of #antisemitism against Jewish students on campuses across the #US, referring to anti-war protests in American colleges and universities.
Referring to the pro-peace protests he said their actions are: "contaminated by hatred and antisemitism fueled by arrogance and ignorance.” Also, “In the face of violence, harassment and intimidation, as masked cowards smash windows and barricade doors, as they assault the truth and manipulate history, together we stand strong."
In making its case before the #ICJ, South Africa named #Herzog (and other Israeli officials) as having expressed genocidal intent against Palestinians.
