IMDB alternative

I really would like to delete my account there and move on. Is there anything, solid enough, with a good rating system, some lists that I can make for myself or at least a simple “to watch”?

Would be cool to have a “where to watch / stream / buy” section and some basic info like people behind the movies and so on.

Major pros: good website and cross-platform mobile app.

I just installed letterboxd to check how it feels but before migrating anywhere I am more interested what I will read here.

I like letterboxd for my movie review needs. It feels more like a community.

I use the JustWatch app on my phone. Has all the info you're looking for.

Doesn't quite cover all the bases, but there's this: https://github.com/zyachel/libremdb

Related app, but which can also be used without Trakt: Series Guide.

Been using Series Guide for years. Love it.

I think tmdb should have you covered

Yeah, I have a tab opened to check it out too, do they have any ios app?

I don't think they have their open official app but they offer their API free to developers I think.

I'm on Android and I've been through several TMDB apps but I don't really like any of them. I do know that Letterboxd use their API as well but that's a more social based thing.

On android, you can probably use hermit to approximate an app. It takes web pages and puts them in. Sand boxed app. I find it works pretty well for lot of websites.

Thank you, I'll give that a go.

it is proprietary and has trackers from Microsoft

Imprudent3449 ,

You know of any open source alternatives?

What are you expecting from a native app? Installing their website as a PWA works really well.

somnuz OP ,

Is there any way to add it to App Library without adding it to the home screen? If there is, I don’t need the app at all, probably.
