Reason 42,343,648 why allistic people shouldn't be allowed to create forms.

"Name of person whose certificate you're requesting"

So um, if the person is filling out a name change form, do they put the current LEGAL name of the person OR the old name that's being changed?

I assume old name, but that's ALSO a false statement on something I'm about to sign, & have notarized as being a TRUE statement, because it's NOT that person's name.

@masukomi @actuallyautistic Having designed some of these forms, a lot of times the terribleness comes from the fact that they need to be resistant to being overturned by a court if an applicant is unhappy with the process. Injecting simpler language often conflicts with having to stick to language that's actually in statute.

@Jobob @masukomi @actuallyautistic I’m saying, it may be confusing in a plain reading, but is unambiguous in relation to the statute text.

@bookstodon Recently, Libby has changed (for me). I can no longer return an e-book directly through Libby, if I have sent it to my Kindle. I have to return it through Kindle. Is this also true of other e-book library services?

@kimlockhartga @bookstodon This just changed for me as well. It makes it more difficult for me to be courteous, which is exactly what the book vendor wants, since then the library needs to license more digital copies of certain books to meet demand.
