My home is mostly using smart switch or relays for lights, but we now have a specific need for some RGB light bulbs. Has anyone got any recommendations for good colour smart bulbs readily available in the UK?...
I've got quite a few IKEA Trådfri bulbs and I don't think I've ever had a problem with one (and if I did IKEA are generally pretty flexible with returns for up to a year). They're pretty good, use ZigBee and so work well with home assistant, the IKEA app isn't too bad, and they're half the price of Phillips Hue.
The only time mine whined were in a very old lamp and when in a socket which still had an analogue dimmer switch - when I swapped that for a normal switch it solved the noise.
I do have a Logitech mouse and as far as I'm aware all the buttons are customisable (through their questionable program), so hopefully this is just marketing nonsense
Chess clock / egg timer. If they don't decide fast enough then no action for them! You don't even need to actually do this (it would be a bit extreme in most situations), but the threat that it might happen should give them the necessary kick. Too much time deliberating? This monster just remembered it can take a legendary action on your turn!
Grocery store prices are changing faster than ever before — literally. This month, Walmart became the latest retailer to announce it’s replacing the price stickers in its aisles with electronic shelf labels. The new labels allow employees to change prices as often as every ten seconds....
If you're concerned that might be about to happen you could just hold the power button until it shuts down or reboots, Android always asks for the password at boot AFAIK
Yeah I do. They still want to be able to sell their premium subscriptions and not every engineer working on the product is some soulless corpo. If they can break all adblockers without damaging their product they will, but if it fucks things up too much then they'll go back to the drawing board and try something else.
Good philosophy. I've found that I'm much happier on the internet since I stopped being bothered about other people being "wrong". I cannot save the world, but if I can help out a few people then that's enough.
Reads to me like "oh no, our automated verification is perfect, there was just one rogue human who has been punished/corrected/re-educated so there's no way this could ever happen again, case closed"
I always got the feeling that this game was seen as a classic. I never owned a Gamecube growing up, but I'm pretty sure I remember my friend having one and playing Sunshine a bit (although he was way more into Zelda and Smash)....
I missed it at the time and played for the first time recently. It was great fun, but yeah pretty difficult mainly due to how slippery Mario is. I did feel less bad when I watched a GDQ speedrun and even the runner fucked up!
It reads to me more just as a statement of contrast, as in 'we're in a world of incredibly high-tech new technology, we shouldn't still be using something from the Victorian era!'
If I can't read or even search it without creating an account then it's pretty useless as an information source. Same issue with Twitter and Instagram.
