Proton isn't designed to be a security layer and afaik doesn't go out of its way to sandbox applications. I'd expect a lot of viruses will fail to do anything, but there'll also be some able to do things like steal your browser or discord passwords.
There's no reason to risk it; don't run anything in Proton that you don't feel safe running on Windows.
Basically, "furries" are animal people like in Disney's Robin Hood and Zootopia, and the fans of those creatures. There's some sfw art at !furry if you want to see. Humans in media are boring. :P
Personally, I've seen it to be a very open, accepting and welcoming community. So I guess I romanticise being with a group of like minded people, which is something I've felt lacking in my life.
... Annoyingly, due to its history as an lgbt-friendly splinter group, it's who a lot of the bigots started targeting when it became socially unacceptable to be honophobic online. Grumble grumble.
A lot of people worldbuild when they daydream and have the bones of a story kicking around in their brain, but have to pay the bills and raise the kids etc so they never flesh it out and write it down. What's your story's premise? Fantasy, sci-fi, alternate history, mystery, western, whatever genre.
I have three things I want to see in a fictional world (either mine or someone else's):
Furries, but not in a weird "metaphor for racism" way.
A nice sophisticated magic system.
Either a mideaval fantasy or spacefaring sci-fi setting.
The current idea rattling in my head is for a game which will likely never get finished. A spaceship with a small crew gets blown off close while travelling at warp speed or whatever. The heroes need to visit a bunch of planets (and learn secrets within) to find... Elemental crystals or something, I guess, to make their way home. Not sure how I can incorporate magic into it though, or if that would just be scope creep.

Used to have two, one in beehaw and one on sh.itjust.works, but then drama happened and I decided to embrace the owo. So nowadays I just have this account and a secret other account for posting cringe.
You can't cut any taxes or programs to fund your idea. Nothing else in your government is going to change. It can't be a tax that you avoid somehow. The money comes from you and similar people in your situation. Don't try to get around it in some way....
Improved access to mental health treatment. We have free healthcare here, but the mental health side isn't great. This would also include support for those who are neurodivergant, suffering from trauma, experiencing gender dysphoria, etc..
Honestly, I think something that would be good as a policy is that at least once a year schoolchildren see a counsellor. Just to talk about anything that's bothering them, and give them help for things that are happening in their home life.
That's a problem here as well. I'm hoping that if we invest more resources into it, they'll not feel that they have to withhold and prioritise treatment. Give them the resources to treat everyone, rather than the few who tick all the right boxes.
Although that's just wishful thinking on my part, most likely. And probably also requires social change as well as economic...

I was thinking about how I missed having an indoor thermometer that measures humidity. It's such a small specific thing, one I'd never think of getting unless pushed to it (which I was by one particularly dry winter). But I like having one now....
Halogen oven: I live alone, and even though it's relatively small, it's big enough for me (unless I want to cook a pizza). It preheats much faster than a regular oven, so meals take much less time to make if I'm just throwing something in it too cook.
Headphone stand: I got a stand that you can hang headphones on, and it's so much nicer than just tossing it on the table or whatever.
Battery powered lamp with a flexible "spine". I have an adjustable lamp which charges via usb and has a flexible neck. It saves the hassle of trying to prop up a phone or something with the torch turned on.
Did you know you can get toilet roll holders that have a little shelf for you to put a phone on? If you browse on the can, they're rather handy.
Extension cables: If you have a desktop or tv, you can just grab some USB, hdmi or audio extensions and swap things using that instead of leaning behind the device.
Egg cooker thingy: I have a thingie that you put a certain amount of water in and it boils an egg using the steam and turns off when done. Saves the effort of setting a timer or boiling a full pan of water.
Kettles: Apparently not a thing in the US? I don't know how you live without them.
Just a heads up: Some instances don't allow creation of new communities by non-admins. If the "Create Community" option isn't there, you're probably on one of those instances.
A society that allows everyone to be free to do whatever they want, provided that all parties involved fully understand and consent to it. Economy wise, I'd like everyone to just unconditionally receive a basic income that covers enough for them to live comfortably.
Perhaps unrealistic yeah, but that's the dream society I wish could happen.
I occasionally need to know the names of programs. I asked here about "Run as Administrator" being added to the context menu (like in Windows), and the response was basically "can't be easily done". an example is if I wish to edit a config file it cannot be done without accessing the terminal. Knowing the name "gedit" is the...
Uhm, actually recalling and learning from personal experience is WIS and not INT.
* Pushes glasses up the bridge of my nose *
Really now, it's this misconception that is really hurting the game. I will now go on a rant about how my interpretation of the stats is correct despite it being fairly ambiguous and confusing.
Yeah, this is super annoying. I want to try out roleplaying and get into character and all that, but in some tables you have people like the following:
The involved roleplayer who, despite their intent otherwise, takes control of the narrative. They try to involve you, but it always feels like you're a side character in their story.
The funny guy, who tries to crack jokes and make the whole game feel light-hearted and silly. I get we're all here for fun, but sometimes I'd like a bit of meat to bite into.
The GM's friend, who derails the game into taking about that cool dog that they had when they flat shared last year. No seriously, it's a cool dog. Let me find a picture on my phone.
That guy whose character is a reference to that show you don't watch. They keep making references to it, and a few other people get it, but you have to awkwardly nod your head.
... Wow, sorry, kind of went on a rant there. I guess I have a bit of frustration at going to play a game, and most of the session being taken up by not playing said game.
Fun fact, this website has a weird way of treating you when you get banned. Because the only thing that will happen is that trying to post a comment or anything will result in an infinite loading screen that will not allow you to get anything on the sub....
Anyway, I'm an onlooker and have no affiliation with ttrpg.network - I just like sticking my nose in places where it doesn't belong.
I agree that the ban on NSFW content should be disclaimed in the sidebar, but at the same time, I think that's the community moderator's choice. IIRC DNDMemes on Reddit also blocked NSFW stuff.
However, I'd like to point out that ttrpg.network has open community creation and an explicit NSFW allowed stance. You could easily just create /c/spicydndmemes or something and designate it as where to put all your snitty pics. Although there are moderation concerns and potential drama with NSFW communities which have to be considered.
I'm all for having NSFW friendly places, but at the same time, if people want two separate communities for NSFW and SFW stuff, that makes sense to me. Nothing stopping people from subscribing to both of them.
Infected games under Proton.
I was just wondering what would happen if I downloaded a game that was infected by a computer virus and ran it in Linux using Proton....
What are the crazy adventures you want to try in your life?
What's the story you would write if you were an author?
