Although Lemmy's userbase is quite large,it still is small enough that I do often see the same people in comment sections. It feels though, that I should recognise more names, because I can only remember around 5 individual ones.
I mean I would fucking love somme puppies at work. but also pizza. pizza is good.
my old workplace used to have free breakfast which was the shit. freshly baked bread from local bakery and all sorts of toppings too, it was so nice to go to work, do stuff maybe 30minutes and just go to coffee break and eat some super good bread. and that was every day
I wish at least a little :D I'm pretty underweight because my body just rejects fat and I'm too lazy to do any body building to gain mass by getting muscle xd
this. it's kinda shitty considering how much people spend on games they "own" but don't actually have any privileges they had with physical copies, but this is nowhere suprising
I would rather buy nokia with ifixit partnership and save hundreds of euros. for me it's about the money 700€ is a shit ton of money
edit: okay after looking moreninto nokia phones (or hmd phones, maker of current nokias) I would propably hold my money until they release something new and good which isnt too expensive, currently their lineup is a bit weird. but they do make the phones mostly from recycled materials and I like the idea of that company. (mostly cuz it's finnish and even stores the data in finland so no china involved)
for real. my uncle has been programmer his whole life and he was always the most linux guy I've known. I have never seen him use any other os. and yet he uses ubuntu. his own words are thar he doesn't care about all the bells and whistles that come trough distros like arch or gentoo. ubuntu works well enough for him and it's what he is used to, so he uses that.
using ubuntu defiently does not mean you're a noob or non-techy linux user. personally I wouldn't touch it again but the linux culture about arch being superior and others being for noobs is ridiculous
this is so true. just because one can use more advanced systems doesn't mean he's smarter than all the more "basic" system users. especially in the linux world.
all of the distros can pretty much do the same thing, some distros are just more focused on the ease of use.
I had this problem in my job as a drafter. I was wondering why the hell Tekla would complain about the same object name already being in use despite everything having its own name. took me way too long to realize there wad some stupidly max name length and the program did nothing to alarm the user about trying to put too long name. it just cut the overflow away.
it's not like there were awesome game series which came to exist as a passion projects that are being discontinued because people don't like the latest titles because they were lazy cash crabs...

the neat part is they don't. unless you tell them about the trip. I too only take pictures of my surroundings, with my camera app, for myself, without the intend of sharing more than maybe one of them. unless I happend to put something on a family group chat or something

I have thought that so many times when I see these flour mixes. like bro you can literally make your own premix and I would assume you save a lot of money doing so
our cars have long been software defined. not just a high level software that they put now. but for a long time there has been chip that is responsible for a LOT of stuff, brakes, steering, abs, traction control etc.
so I finally got the motivation to install lineage os to my phone after thinking about it like year. and now that I finally modified this phone I started thinking about ricing this phone a bit. I'm looking for a launcher that isn't too minimalistic and with a decent amount of customization. kinda like kde bit you know... stable....
Americans have been rubbing their faces all over the rest of the world calling themselves superior in movies and tv for over 50 years now and then they get mad when people poke fun at them on the internet
