I'm curious to see how the cops found out who's they were to arrest them

inevitably can be 100 years from now, or 1000 years from now when we setup a dyson sphere. Inevitably is too vague.

You're just being anal about phrasing. "in a reasonable amount of time" or "before this bubble bursts" are clearly implied

Careful of Rule 1. Like most things, the symptom is not something only ADHD people experience, but for ADHD people it can be debilitating enough to affect their lives significantly. For example not being able to concentrate on something even if not doing it will lead one to economic disaster etc.

i.e. see the meme in the Rule 1 post ;)

I know you didn't, which is why I didn't sanction you :) It was just skirting close to Rule 1 due to the problems of written language, so I thought I'd mention it just to make sure ;)

Also reminder that ADHD is generic. If your children have it, they typically got it from someone in your family ;)

ain't that the truth. 6 months to recover from burnout is pretty good even. Some people are burnt out for years.

Lol tell me about it. I got banned from hexbear because I can't let things go when I feel people are shit-talking me and mine unfairly :D

This is really funny to me because Google ruined their own search engine for advertising purposes; so much so that they now need to add "AI" to it to look good and hip again. Only if the "AI" results are actually good, it will hurt their advertising revenue, and it's not quite so simple to tweak it the same way they cooked their search algorithms to serve you more ads, plus it will burn an ungodly amount of money to process each request. And if it's bad, they'll have wasted billions on it and will ruin their reputation even worse.

I think you have entirely too much faith in corporate executives.

Because that's the link I got

Hmm, lemmy.ml is lagging a bit from lemmy.world, but not that much to explain 2 months delay

Where the children are playing so that they can precicely target them of course. Wouldn't want to waste missiles to not hit any innocents.

Yes, there's a massive co-morbidity between the two. Something like 50% chance to have ASD if you have ADHD iirc

ADHD is not a personal problem, it's a socioeconomic problem.

And it's bad because they're "chores" who "need to be done". In a different structure which recognised the needs of ADHD people those chores would never have been assigned to you in the first place.

If you really think you need to be medicated, try different doctors until you find someone who specializes in ADHD. The rest have no clue what they're doing and regularly try to treat the symptoms of ADHD (such as depression about how much your life is coming apart due to ADHD) instead of the cause.

If you don't need medication, then a diagnosis doesn't has much more to offer honestly. The same stategies you can discover without a diagnosis as well. Look for ADHD meetups in your area perhaps, or ask around here or in !adhd

Yes, I think adhd people who can't do housechores should have assistance for it, and in turn they would provide what they can to society. If that is not possible because "they can't afford it" then the system that requires monetary compensation is at fault.

There's plenty of people who like doing chores and don't like doing what adhd people are doing. These two groups can collaborate.

Switched the links to lemmyverse.link. Should be OK now.

    Rotating banners on /r/piracy ( lemmy.dbzer0.com )

Hey mates, recently I've developed a tool to use the GenerativeAI on the AI Horde to created random avatars and banners on lemmy. To keep things spicy, I wanted to deploy to rotate the /c/piracy banner daily, as I've done in a bunch of other communities like !stable_diffusion_art and the lemmy.dbzer0.com....

lemmy.dbzer0.com is willing to accept this content on their instance, as well as the potential legal risk coming from this, which they’re free to do.

Well, it's more that we believe a domain root url embedded in an image, or a link to a rentry doesn't really have any risks. At least, nothing likely to get us sued. Note that all these domain links existed (and still exist) in the reddit /r/piracy wiki for years without problems.

The reason being that almost all of these takedowns are coming from automated crawlers, who won't bother OCR every image they come across, or b64-decoding every string.
