Yes.
That's the list of things I know I should be doing but can't.

It certainly did not start as theirs.

caseyweederman ,

I understand. It is inaccurate to say it started as a far-right icon.

Apps that encourage/gamify walking?

Recently got Walk Scape which is a rune scape inspired game, but you do things by walking and just reads from the google analytics on your walking distance, so no gps and doesn't care where you go, just that you walk. So like to mine something, you take 10 steps, and so on. Also really nice that if you complete your current...

I wouldn't mind generating some more discussion on Pokémon Go.
The "drive somewhere" argument is valid (along with many other arguments that can be leveled against the game), and this is at its core a conversation about motivations, but I'm still using Pokemon Go to get out and walk places.
I'm more likely to add onto existing walks if it means I can spin a couple more stops or put a mon in a gym.

That said, it doesn't make me want to go for a walk if I'm not already out for a walk. So I guess it works as more of a "walk more" motivator for me personally.

Digg messed up and made a bunch of user-punishing changes and the entire internet all at once moved to Reddit, which was brand new, effectively killing Digg.
Digg has been the high example of what Reddit isn't, so we're all very confused whenever Reddit copies things Digg did that were universally hated.

A Supergiant game in Early Access is more finished than most fully-released triple-A titles.
Plus, as with the first Hades, they work the continued development into the narrative of the game.

Ok but please explain subvolumes, the information has failed to latch onto my brain

If I'm trying to install Linux with BTRFS, and it doesn't work, what are some of the most likely mistakes I've made?

caseyweederman ,

I'm going rock so I can say "okay google, play Never Gonna Give You Up"

I've used Gnome for a very long time but tried out Plasma 6.0 soon after it came out, and I'm very impressed.
I might switch back to Gnome some day, but KDE just keeps growing on me.
The seamless clipboard sharing feature between mobile and laptop is really cool, and that was just an unexpected bonus attached to a whole set of cool features. And everything feels cohesive in a way that I'm not used to.

caseyweederman ,

That's possible. I went very many years without even hearing about that, and I found KDE Connect and had it up and fully operational on day one.

Hey uh can I get your IP address real quick? I have a strong suspicion your philosophy extends to your network ports.

Punk tends to lean towards modifying what you have with what tools are available, and shopping second-hand. As a bonus, the inherent aesthetic is harder for the fashion industry to co-opt.

caseyweederman ,

Punk, like 80s punk? Safety pin piercings, jackets with the arms torn off, covered in handsewn patches, egg-white hair glue?

Some brain cells make dopamine to reinforce behaviors. Dopamine slots into receptor, you get that feeling of satisfaction.
A protein in the brain cell wall vacuums up excess dopamine so it doesn't just flood the brain forever, constantly triggering the receptors.
ADHD brain cell dopamine vacuums are just always on max speed all the time.
Methylphenidate slows the vacuums down so the dopamine doesn't get sucked right back down, meaning it actually has a chance to reach the receptors and do its job.

It's not quite that our brains crave dopamine, it's that our brains are too good at tidying it up, kinda like someone following around behind you as you set the table, putting all the clean dinnerware straight into the dishwasher unused.

I quit Reddit over the API thing but I think it was just momentum keeping me going by that point

I had zero awareness of any 19X subreddits or communities until seeing all the consistently good and relatable memes come up in my feed here on Lemmy.
Still unaware of who or what 196 is here or on any other platform but I'm subscribed here for the aforementioned memes of quality.

Some day I will go through my Saved posts and watch them
Some day I will have time

No I'm pretty sure it's GNU divided by Linux

This is the internet so technically they're e-Konmics.
