you will live in a box made of ticky tacky, you will drive a subscription tank, you will eat a "hamburger" maed out of 40% sawdust, you will spend 10% of your life mowing your lawn, and you will think you like it
thus the actual answer is "move to a place where you don't need a car to live", you don't need to worry about the repairability of public transport vehicles and bikes are trivial to repair.
isn't the problem specifically that some people just can't really do intuitive math for small numbers? like all through school everyone else just breezed through memorizing the multiplication tables and i just sat there manually adding numbers together and felt so fucking stupid and worthless in math class
real wasabi root is a bitch to farm, so if you buy wasabi paste and it's not expensive, or if someone serves you more than a tiny dollop of it, it's probably actually horseradish paste with wasabi root extract.
not that it matters, clearly people enjoy the horseradish paste.
have you tried having extremely food-motivated autism to the point that your day is ruined if you don't get the right food? as a bonus you get motivation to work out because mmmm more space for yummy food in my tumtum omnomnomnomnomnom
The main reasons I've seen from vegans for not eating meat seem to be all about the morality of eating a sentient animal, the practices of the modern meat industry, and the environmental impact of it. And don't have anything to do with the taste of meat....
i'm not a vegan or vegetarian, but from my experience with various plant-based proteins i honestly just do not see the point
we already have perfectly affordable vegan proteins that, while not identical to meat or even necessarily that close, are absolutely as satisfying to chew on and very tasty.
Really, all you need is a chunk of mostly pure protein of any kind and it's doubtful people are going to much notice the difference if it's part of a dish and they aren't given a chance to study the protein in detail.
The only thing you'd really need lab-grown meat for is steaks, which are overrated anyways and like.. god eating steak is such a violently bougie thing! The shelves with ground meat here are hilarious because the cheaper ground pork is constantly completely sold out while the ground beef is barely even touched, so i doubt people would even notice the disappearance of the steak that costs 6 times as much..
i can assure you japan isn't that much saner than the rest of us, like really the one big thing they have going for them is pretty good urban planning and public transport.
Where most nations have people working their asses off because they need money to buy food, japan made the innovation of having people work themselves to death mostly out of social obligation instead! Much more exciting.
unrelated to the OP but a suggestion for your problem:
Waveup has a setting to lock the screen after X seconds with the proximity sensor covered, it's not very sophisticated and thus it can be a bit over-eager, but if the phone being interacted with by your leg while in the pocket is driving you up the wall then this should fix that.
if you need lube to tickle the gherkin you're either the victim of genital mutilation (circumcision, which is fucked up that it's normalized in the US) or your technique terrifies me.
Surprisingly, our bodies have evolved to make stuff like this perfectly doable without assistence, it even helpfully dispenses some lube if you REALLY get into it!
It's also like saying that eating too much makes you not hungry, no shit einstein
if anything i'd posit that cranking the hog makes you more sensitive, because you'll be so used to it that abstaining for a week is almost unbearable, much like how most people in developed countries feel a pit in their stomach if they don't eat for half a day.
it's like how techbros constantly want to reinvent transportation, if they assign an AI to give them an answer it would just say "build more railways and trains" and they'd throw it out a window in anger
It's a bit of a shame that ADD isn't a thing anymore, just dropping the H makes it a lot less misleading. The attention deficit part is broadly descriptive of my issues
can't relate, my reader's block is that i could follow 100 stories with daily chapter releases and i'd still read them all in 5 minutes and then sit there crying because i'm bored out of my mind
the fact that there are this many people having different interpretations shows that the license would need waaaaaay clearer wording to hold any sort of water.
this is why i hate licenses like WTFPL and its ilk, just saying "do whatever" cannot possibly be legally viable and thus using anything with such a license is impossible by anyone who cares about copyright law (such as say, companies).
If you want your creations to be free for all to use, just slap a fat CC0 on it.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this, it seems like an okay idea and the fact that they have vehicles working on a test track IRL means it's at least not an obvious scam like hyperloop.
Also the fact that they have a specific use case in mind, don't say it's going to revolutionize all transportation, and are reusing existing infrastructure, all bode well.
The problem is that the wheels have flanges on both sides, so I don't think switches work.
The best solution would be a loop connecting the rails at each end, but that's obviously not compatible with running regular freight trains since it would need to be switchless.
Thus presumably they need to be externally flipped around and moved, for which I'd guess a crane like those used for moving containers on and off trains is ideal.
With a crane they could also easily move the vehicles to a storage area so freight trains can pass through.
nail those 3 things and don't fuck up anything else, and people will throw money at your game, because the rest of the industry seems to refuse to provide games that are simply enjoyable without trying to turn you into a dairy cow.
god this is like when everyone called first person shooters "doom clones", overwatch is absolutely not a tf2 ripoff lmao, and making a hero shooter does not mean it's an overwatch ripoff either.
i don't even bother with anything that interactive, i just go "mhmm" and "hmm" and yet still people don't realize i'm starting to dissociate from boredom

I do not fathom people who drop more than 300 bucks on a manual bicycle, you can go to many stores and walk out with an absolutely fine bike for that price, and if you are willing to spend more you can get an e-bike, which is one of the best vehicles ever invented.
