This is the joke. Absurdist hyperbole only works with a shared assumption or common sense to play against.
If there’s an intended target of this joke, it’s definitely not medication. It would be the inscrutability of the wording of that clinical guideline, which seems to imply morality is divergent but can be cured with stimulants.
I’m curious about this. If demonstrable, it seems many Canadians could sue.
What is the typical user workflow? For example:
An embedded Adobe applet (e.g. fill, sign, and submit on the government website)
Token-based API (e.g. redirect or spawn child window/tab, user fills and signs on adobe site, user returned to government site)
Something else (e.g. upload button with server-side validation for digital signing)
Edit: looked into this a bit. Did you receive an error message like the following?
This document does not allow you to save any changes you have made to it unless you are using Adobe Acrobat Standard DC or Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
(Regardless it’s totally shitty that government websites recommend a specific company’s software, especially Adobe. I’m just trying to figure out if they actually force citizens to pay a private company.)
I have everything pretty much ready to launch full time. Time, skills, customers, support from family. But I'd leave my current job behind and with it my family's health insurance for the foreseeable future. I can't afford any of the options I've seen. It's the one thing holding me back. Any ideas for affordable health insurance...
If you are a disregarded entity, are not currently and do not in the next 6 or 12 months expect to make enough profit for an AGI above a certain percentage of the FPL, and your state has Medicaid, you can apply for Medicaid with dependents using recent profit and loss reports to substantiate your effective self-employment income.
I have only a PCIe 2.0 x4 and a PCIe 3.0 x16 free and I need to install a 10Gbps SFP+ card and a graphic card for transcoding with Jellyfin (the CPU is an old E5-2620 v2)....
True, I only included kJ equivalent because some countries use kJ on nutritional panels instead of Calories. Actual conversion rate of human energy stores to usable power is, at a guess, more like
Calories * 0.25 * 0.6 * 0.8 - dt
where t is time, d is the self-discharge rate of the battery, 0.6 is the efficiency of the generator, and 0.8 is the efficiency of the battery.
So, user better eat their wheaties.

I got HVAC certified (608 type 1) and do it myself. It’s not expensive or difficult, and it’s useful to know how to do small installs and maintenance. (For starters, you can save quite a lot buying HVAC equipment direct from manufacturers.)
The API for the PayPal checkout workflow is too complicated for us, but one of us knows how to manually type in the order details to send you an invoice.
Hell yeah! If you’re in a hurry, you can do this as one fluid movement with a bed or similar surface. Other grown-ups might consider it undignified-looking to treat a mattress like a bouncy castle, but they can suck a lemon!
In case you haven’t tried this, here are the steps:
Hold the pants in front of you like usual and fall backwards into the bed
Use the momentum to rock backward with enough force to lift your hips briefly
While hips are raised, kick through the pant legs while pulling the waist up as far as possible before your hips return to the bed
As you roll forward, use the momentum to bring yourself back up off the bed
Once returned to standing position, pull waist the rest of the way if necessary and proceed as usual
Let’s stop this idiotic hazing ritual. 15 years ago I was a recent grad and people were saying similar stuff. These attitudes kept people my age out of many workplaces. It was shortsighted.
I was rejected many times before I got my first job, and managers in my first roles used my age against me a lot, especially when I didn’t stay in my lane. Finally a company removed my leash and treated me as an opportunity rather than a threat, and they got a big return on that investment, but it took years to find a place like that.
We were acquired and I’m doing other stuff now, but when I see my products in the wild, I sometimes wonder about all those hiring managers who couldn’t see past my age. Did they ever learn that unreplaceable means unpromotable? Did they ever learn to have a bench? What would we have built together if they weren’t so afraid of change?
Of course this is just one story, and profit isn’t a proper motive for doing what’s right. But those who don’t care that ageism is bad for society should at least consider that it’s bad for business and their careers.
