You can just buy aftermarket tools from Eastern Europe that don't have such nonsense.

Well, this isn't a Linux sub, so no.

I'm pretty sure it's just a subgenre of "it's not gay if" fetish pornography for bi curious cis males who want to be "trapped" by the cute girl next door.

The op in the thread I linked is definitely trying to attract male attention with that image. They know what they're doing, either guys won't read and up vote or it attracts guys with a fetish. Either way they're looking for validation for having feminine features and being trans. I guess I could be more inclusive and call them an attention whore like I would anybody else who posts stuff like that.

I would prefer not to be included in other people's fetish. That includes woman posting pictures of themselves in thiugh highs and those videos where woman are intentionally showing cleavage in order to get people to watch their video longer.

Has there been an increase in attacks on random Jews? This is a fascist talking point to shut down protests. The rabi at our state college for that one Hasidic organization (the tunnel controversy one) was spouting this nonsense.

Too busy trying to sort their recycling and make up words for very specific situations. Historically they haven't cared about genocide.

Not to mention average pickup truck weight has increased since the study. Older trucks were lighter because they didn't have fully boxed frames and every p/u is an extended cab now.

Companies know they can make tools quieter. They didn't do it because louder sounds more powerful to consumers.

PriorityMotif ,
@PriorityMotif@lemmy.world avatar

They do the same thing with vehicle air intakes to eliminate annoying sounds and make the car sound more throaty. Don't forget about cars that have engine noises come through the stereo. People think they need to "feel the engine" in order to drive. I would rather it be completely silent, not that's not possible because of tire noise.

There's a large number of Jewish people who are Democrats and politicians are more worried about points than doing the right thing.

When I was a little kid around 1990 you could book computer time at our very small local library. I would walk across town by myself. The computer was an apple IIe with a green monochrome monitor. You could play Oregon trail and a handful of other educational titles.

Many people conflate kindness with weakness, however, in reality it is the opposite. It is easier to tear someone down, than to build something. The tendency to tear other people down comes from a need to feel higher in the social pecking order which they cannot attain with their lack of ability.

It's not certain death. Bears are predictable, you can easily scare a bear away or play dead. Random men are unpredictable. As a man, I would much rather ruin into a beat than some sketchy dude who wants to rob me or wear my skin as a coat.

‘They’ve destroyed us because of some tweets’: why has Saudi Arabia targeted these three sisters? ( www.theguardian.com )

Last week one was sentenced to 11 years, another had to flee the country, a third could be arrested at any moment. And what were Manahel, Maryam and Fawzia al-Otaibi’s ‘crimes’? A few social media posts that outraged Saudi Arabia’s conservatives...

The alternative is continued conflict and death in the middle east as well as continued death or the planet from climate change. I think that takes precedent over the obscenely rich who use slavery to build vanity projects.

You could definitely put some blame on the manufacturer, but in legalize you "knew or should have known" that there was a possiblity that your vehicle could hurt or kill someone. You sent it out into the world without a driver in it, not the manufacturer. I wouldn't be surprised to see warnings and agreements attached to autonomous vehicles telling people that there is risk.

PriorityMotif ,

The bus company gets sued because they own the bus, not the driver. Same as if you lend your car to someone, you're at least partially responsible.

What would happen if we put a small collider inside of a bigger collider and spun it around while it spun around?

PriorityMotif ,
@PriorityMotif@lemmy.world avatar

Nah, I don't really like being one on one with a woman at work because I might do or say something they see as "creepy" and then they'll tell everyone I'm a creep. I agree that there are quite a few men who are thirsty as hell, but, not everyone is interested in you, don't flatter yourself.

You won't be able to find reliable information because Israel has a lot of ability to influence discourse especially online. They will kill and threaten journalists. They are the global leader in providing computer exploits and spy tools to nation-states. Don't forget that nothing happened at Tienamen square, and there is no war in ba sing se.

It's likely not worth using, maybe splitting the nodes out individually for colleges to use for research projects for a few years. The cabinets are probably worth something because of the graphics on them. The power consumption, lack of the high speed storage, and large scale industrial cooling system make it impractical to use. You would probably need an entire power substation in order to run it. You could probably install it at an industrial site, but you would still need to come up with networking and installation, which could cost more than what you paid for the thing in the first place.

PriorityMotif ,
@PriorityMotif@lemmy.world avatar

13% eBay fees, around $5 to pack and ship it, not including your time. Around $8 net per chip, so, $60k less returns/losses, then taxes on that. It might be worth it for one of those large liquidation companies, but they usually charge companies to recycle their equipment or pay very little at auctions.

PriorityMotif ,
@PriorityMotif@lemmy.world avatar

I mean, even if some company has a practical need for it, or even just wanted to sell compute time on it, it wouldn't be worth it due to the operating and installation costs. Although, it wouldn't surprise me to see individual nodes from this poping up on /r/homelab, those guys are nuts.

It looks like each blade has 4 modules with 2 processors each with up to 9 blades plus management and networking in each blade cabinet and 4 of those in each rack. Liquid cooling is only an option, so it could be possible to run it on air only. I couldn't find much on the cooling system other than it's self contained if you have one if the separate cooling cabinets. It does look like is an air to water radiator. You could pay run it off of a pool pump or something.

Gunslinger comes across the samurai who has escaped to America and is hiding as a railroad worker. Some kind of fuckery happens and they escape and go to San Francisco. They meet the English dandy and they get into some more fuckery and the privateer gets them back out to sea.

Back in my day you had to level the bed by hand! We had to put a piece of paper between the print nozzle and the bed until the gaps were perfect. If the bed was warped, there was nothing you could do!
