Let's start with me: The person posting this just doesn't know or acknowledge, that autistic people aren't violent (as sociopaths also aren't). I don't even understand this. The author actively sabotages autistic rights movements to gain a small advantage in sociopath advocacy....
As an officially diagnosed autistic and a self diagnosed narcisist, I can't agree more. Like autism, sociopathy is also a spectrum. As a sociopath you can be a dangerous person or a complete pacifist. I know a lot of people, who I would consider dangerous, but I wouldn't consider sociopaths. On the other hand, I also met some sociopaths, who I wouldn't consider dangerous.
I think it would be better if I posted it in some kind of autism community (the autism community here or the new .place community), as they are more active and include more autistic people.
I've been looking for a new job as a software developer. The huge majority of job listings I see in my area are hybrid or remote. I just had an introductory phone call with Vizio (which didn't specify the location type in the job listing). The recruiter told me that the job was fully on-site, which I told her was a deal breaker...
Although Lemmy's userbase is quite large,it still is small enough that I do often see the same people in comment sections. It feels though, that I should recognise more names, because I can only remember around 5 individual ones.
(TL;DR): I love being terrified, and this has led me to a fascination with imagining being a witness to / a victim of various tragedies. Is that weird?...
For me it's always been a huge issue. I am not even that old but I've still noticed a massive change in how autism is seen from when I was growing up until now....
I didn't know, autism, by itself could even impact you this much. I learn well, if someone forces me to do it.
The only serious problems I have with autism itself are communication (I can't communicate well ) and a lot of emotional problems. The other serious problems related to autism, I have, are other people. I don't have any real friends, I only have some people i manipulated to like me, so I get some basic help if I ask (I did have them in primary school, where I was respected). Anywhere I don't instantly show a talent, I'm treated like I were stupid. I'm even treated like this in medical settings (which means, it will be harder for me to get any state provided license and a job). So my problem is other people's low education, not mine.

In primary school, I was the retarded kid for some teachers and in high school, when they can't question my intelligence, as I am universally known as smart, they accuse me of schizophrenia and disrespect. I was forced to have weekly appointments at a school psychologist for breaking some minor school rules.
General life:
I had to complete a psychological test for my driver's license, where I was treated, like I was stupid (and I still didn't get my results after around a month).
Well, after thinking about it, it wasn't so minor. I stabbed someone's hand with a pencil after he was annoying me (I asked him to stop nicely many times). He didn't have any proof, they just believed him as I was the autistic one. In Slovenia and probably most of EU, you have to have a medical examination for a state provided licenses and usually also work. If they don't permit me my driver's license, I'll just move outside of this shithole country (quoting Borat) and live a normal life somewhere else.
F3 if not that old. I'm typing this on a redmi 4x from 2017 and even this one is not that old and will probably be good enough for basic tasks for a couple of years.
Redmi Mi and Poco are brands from xiaomi. While the old models are very reliable, the new ones (11+) aren't (moderboard issues, side mounted fingerprint, modem, etc).
Shocked face

How many people actually want fully on-site IT jobs?

Is it weird that I enjoy imagining being a witness/victim of various tragedies?
