Imagine if we redrew the state maps every few years. Oh no, my speed limit went down, I have to pay five cents per bag at the store, and the gax tax is not ten cents more per gallon. 😱😱😱
But then November roles around and my vote is way more powerful than it was because now 2 million people are election a senator and in my old state 50 million are also electing a senator.
States obviously used to have cultural sway but pretending they are real in 2024 is absolutely hilarious.
Gerrymandering is just the cherry on top. Well, the cherry in the House.

God gave plenty more laws in the next few books of the Bible. The famous commandments about not mixing fabrics or cutting your hair? Yeah Moses of the Ten Commandments is behind that book too.
I guess my angle is if we agree the market isn't just, then maybe you just pay everyone equally? Don't all people need to eat and have a place to sleep?
So if it makes sense to charge people in India 1/4 the people in the US why can't we pretend we are in India? People travel to other continents for healthcare.
Whatever the fuck podcast popularized the idea that blue just didn't exist? Yeah stupid.
I do believe there is some relationship between one's main language and how it affects thought patterns, but I mean cmon, even if I don't know every word for shades of green (avocado VS chartreuse) doesn't mean I'm not capable of distinguishing them. I may not have an exacting language tool set for distinguishing them. But I could.
I think capitalism can be understood as a living entity, a being composed of billions of smaller beings (people), essentially cells. I think the simpler answer is, you are so right, it barely has to be valorized. It sells itself.
I think the long answer is that porn addiction is a real thing that can affect people. Also lots of people in charge of things like sex education have historically been prudes who see masturbation as some sort of gateway to promiscuity.
I mean addiction colloquially. The existence and over use of porn does cause some people and their relationship some level of affects. I don't think we can just hand wave it all away.
You are preaching to the choir here. Yes I can believe porn addiction only exists in the kinds of the those in the religious community. I'm still trying to provide a larger picture to answer the question of why the government doesn't tell you to masturbate every day.
Porn, for some people in contexts, has had drawbacks. Those people, in some contexts, have curtailed the valorization of porn writ large. Maybe this campaign has biased me to a degree as well.
I have never been to a Sex Addicts Anonymous meeting but I'm not about to write the whole idea off entirely.

You and the person on a chair on the beach next to you will both get sunburnt. In the same way, radio waves washing around your house or car interacts with everything, antenna or not.
It kind of gets into the napkin math. But it's sort of silly.
If most writers can spend the first third of their career focusing on journalism or some type of corporate writing, and then the middle third on publishing novels or whatever, and then the last third teaching, or maybe just riding the fame of the one book that got turned into a movie... Yeah I think trying to be a writer sounds easier than becoming a billionaire.
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you noob? I'll have you know I graduated top of my chess club, and I've been involved in numerous speed tournaments on lichess, and I have over 300 confirmed check mates. I am trained in white and black, and I'm the top puzzle solver in my freshman class. You are nothing to me but just another check mate. I will windmill you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before in this chess meet up, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of grandmaster over the former USSR and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your Elo. You're fucking lost, kid. My queen can be all over the board at anytime, and I can check mate you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my pawn. Not only am I extensively trained in check mate puzzles, but I have access to the entire arsenal of my side of the chess board and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass-pieces off the face of the board, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and your king and you will drown in it. You fucking lost, kiddo
I have friends who are Afghan who have had arranged marriages so this led me to be curious to ask, why does this practice still persist into the 21st century?
So yes i do think it is social media. But they are more akin to the old internet, or Facebook before it got massive and bad.
For exampke? There is not a massive algorithm, especially a personalized algorithm (obviously Top and Hot are technically algorithms, but they democratically place popular posts to anyone who hasn't blocked/is following the community).
For many comparisons they are obviously social media, but for other types of comparisons I don't think it's a great match.
For some reason, I click it, and Google translated it for me?
Hello,
me and my team (we are atm 3: me and 2 school colleagues) started a pretty big project last week. I know it sounds crazy, but we are working on a successor to WoW. Please don't say we can't do it anyway, because we are very ambitious and are very experienced WoW players. I'm posting here to find more people for our team. We have a modeler (me), a musician (for the background music and sound effects) and a community manager. We are still looking for a programmer to bring the whole thing to life. If you would like to apply, please post what experience you have so far with game programming and what programming languages you know (we want to write the game in Java because we already learned a bit of Java at school last year).
Our goals/motivation:
Wow is now a few years old and Blizzard doesn't seem to be thinking about a successor. Instead, they create one extension at a time. The graphics are quite old and WoW2 is supposed to look much better (my models are almost photorealistic). The quests should be more exciting (don't always kill XY, get XY). >There will be epic battles with up to 500vs500 fighters. We have invented two new classes: Necromancer and Hobblings.
But I don't want to tell you everything here and save it for later. I will send a project plan to anyone who is interested.
^We can't pay for the work, but when we publish it, for example, we share the subscription fees we get ($10 per player).
