Question: why deorbit vs push out of orbit away from earth?

I feel a bit let down really 73 yards was completely overlooked as a story line and I'd say it was one of the most important of the series

I'm thimking this whole thing was meant to be 2 seasons long but then got screwed up when the actress who plays Ruby left, so they shoehorned in an explanation.

2nd season would have explored Ruby more with a climatic ending, instead she gets a happy ever after dont call us we'll call you ending.

What bothered me about the call back to 73 was the doctor saying he helped overthrow the bad guy (cant remember his name). But in Rubys alternative time line he gave up power before actually being sworn in so the dna database and revolt ever actually happened.

Again fells like a cock up somewhere.

Its got to be something like a perception filter, they dont realise until they are told?

Whatever it is it scares them completely and utterly so i dont think its just looking at Ruby and seeing the truth, its more existential like they realise their existence is worthless because of her.

I'm thinking at the moment Ruby does this a lot but never realises because she resets her time line each time.

She is able to live out a timeline change the outcome then slingshot back to the moment it started.

Which would make her the person that dropped herself off at the church

The doctor not being there and the tardis rejecting her would be because she is a walking paradox generator

Space babies was a poor opener and was obviously put there to draw in a younger crowd.

Devil's chord had a lot of promise but never really hit the right note for me.
