If ISP routers are anything like the west that means they control the DNS servers and the ones on router cannot be changed, and likely it blocks 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 and so on, as Virgin Media does (along with blocking secure DNS) in the UK for example, which definitely opens up a massive attack vector for an ISP to spin up its own website with a verified cert and malware and have the DNS resolve to that when users try to access it to either download the software needed to access this Grid System or if it's a web portal - the portal itself.
I don't think this included any attacks on the BitTorrent protocol at all, because as others said, it's pretty secure, but another possibility is simply malicious torrents being distributed, which rights holders definitely done before (read decoying part in https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2007/03/mediadefender/)
or has access to a trusted CA's key, as per above.
I don't see why they wouldn't, or couldn't do this if they wanted to if they were also willing to straight up resort to spreading malware, which idk about SK but that's illegal anywhere in the west under very broad laws.

How is the government able to MITM this person? The website is HTTPS and they're using a VPN, but presumably locked to the DNS of the ISP. How are they able to block websites at all in this case with anything other than a termination of a connection (i.e. displaying a banner)?
Even without a VPN by your logic if the ISP can't present a foobar.com cert then they couldn't block it via just DNS. How do FBI takedown notices work? Shouldn't all of these throw up SSL errors and "back to safety" prompts?

For example: If I, an ISP in Beijing went to BEIJING CERTIFICATE AUTHORITY Co., Ltd. which is on the list, and had my cert issued by them for foobar.com that listed them as the root trust, wouldn't that work? Because the service operating there currently is illegal and I need to take it down, i don't see how or why they could refuse. If they can't do this for ISPs, then certainly law enforcement should be able to force them to comply, I would assume.
If I then went to abuse that cert and spread malware on my fake cloned site, then what are the affected users going to do, call the cops and tell them the illegal seedbox is down?
This is the only way I can see governments being able to display blocked website notices, takedown notices and other MITM insertions demonstrably happening in all sorts of countries without triggering a "back to safety" warning in most browsers.

That said your analogy doesn't apply to tech. "It just doesn't okay" isn't a very satisfying answer from a logic standpoint, but as the other user pointed out almost all corporate software is built upon, or massively, and I mean massively relies upon the efforts of Open Source software.
I can't really think of any other industry like this or an analogy for this, but that is how it works. Example: GNU/Linux is FOSS, and is the go-to for server software for businesses, and it's starting to creep into end user products too, from Dell laptops to Raspberry Pi to the Steam Deck (if you're familiar with that - Proton is also open source).

And that's just the local, street-level stuff. What about the global evil of capitalism? Israel? Afghanistan? Iraq? Neo-colonialism of the global south, American corporations licking dictatorial boots the world over? the blockade of Cuba? Police racism and brutality? Sexism? Ableism?
The neoliberal imperialism of the United States through it's client-state in Israel alone is enough to wonder, whether this system should be left as-is.

This is commonly used in perfume, you can find this on sale for DIY fragrance makers as well with a quick Google search. The safety data sheet lists quite a few hazards, one of which is irritation and being harmful if swallowed.
The ingredient page doesn't even list potential irritation as a low risk issue. Idk, I'm not a chemist, but I wouldn't spray perfume into my eyes, not any ethanol for that matter.

I'm not a scientist, but this doesn't scream exactly scientific, you can't just write "Source: science literature" I would've been expelled from uni trying to pull that shit even at first year bachelors' level in an engineering course.
So it seems that this isn't science or even evidence based, cursory Google search seems to suggest this EWG is a dodgy lobbying group that claims to be a non-profit. Where there is lobbying - there's power/money and incentive/goal.
They also made a film called "Not So Pretty", which urged people to throw away their "toxic" and "harmful" existing beauty products per the ratings, and buy ones that EWG recommends in the app and database they very conveniently provide with direct purchase links for your convenience, where they lay out unsourced unscientific claims about the safety of various products.
It doesn't help that instead of taking donations in a more true non-profit spirit, the use referral links, which they do state to be fair:

Take this as you will, but if you ask me, this seems like a simple marketing scheme to prop up certain products and sell them to those who want to do right by the environment and look after their health by creating a fake "certification" of sorts with no basis in or reference to science, from a dodgy lobbying group complete with convenient referral links to buy said products right on the page, no different from recycling symbols on soda bottles, this appears to be more marketing than truth.

So it seems like this is just entirely their research. They don't state how they have "worked to ensure" accuracy of information, just that they did, which is corporate bs speak, and not very advanced at that. The fact it also says this is just "EWG's research" seems to suggest they don't want to explicitly cite evidence either.
And somewhat more damning is that they say they obtain information from "many sources" but once again don't specify it, and don't guarantee any accuracy:

For me this was ADHD meds. I was always lacking, but ever since I self-prescribed darknet amphetamines I'm much happier. Therapy wasn't shit for me, I'm glad it helps others but I never had any trauma and I feel like it's too over-prescribed instead of drugs that fix the issue.

She has, she's the loudest voice of the anti-trans movement. Here in the UK it led to the murder of a trans teenager (Brianna Ghey) and an attack on a literal toddler by teenagers over the fact the victim had a trans parent. But it's not just direct violence either but political violence also.
Thanks to JKR, not only is anti-trans bigotry now getting similar protections to religion in court (Forstater case) which rendered workplace protections against bigotry and harassment for trans people moot, but we are seeing mass rollbacks of trans rights gained in the past 20+ years such as (but not limited to): ban on puberty blockers for minors, bans of trans women from women's hospital wards, bans on discussing the existence of trans people in schools to children under 13, guidance to schools by the government suggesting trans children in unsafe home environments should be outed to their parents and a crackdown on DIY hormone suppliers etc.
In addition proposals include scrapping the 2010 Equality Act's protections on gender identity and/or the 2004 Gender Recognition Act (or making the latter meaningless), as well as bans or restrictions on medical transition for adults under 25 and suggestions in not only keeping legal but encouraging conversion therapy for trans people amongst many others.
This all against a backdrop of what already was a very hostile environment for trans people 8 years ago when all this started with the right-wing shift, which has now only gotten worse as systemic neglect led to institutional traps of inaccessibility in the UK trans healthcare system that has resulted in several high-profile deaths just in the past two years, all because trans voices have been institutionally silenced in the UK both in the media and government, neither major party or any major media outlet support trans rights etc.
From her direct harassment of trans people (e.g. India Willoughby) to her rhetoric projected to millions comparing trans women to rapists or more recently house burglars, her denial of the fact trans people were targets of the Nazi war crimes, her spreading of misinformation regarding trans healthcare (more recently - who invented it) normalising anti-trans hate to her significant capital backing of the TERF movement which has successfully captured the media and all major political parties in the UK and would be nowhere near as successful without her support - she may not be alone responsible, but she is very much complicit.
There was a moment when my generation of trans people may have been the last to be severely marginalized, in comparison now thanks to her and her pals influence people transitioning today have it much, much worse than those of us who did it 10 years ago.
