I'm thinking the animals would easily defeat us, since trying to get all 8 billion+ humans to agree on a plan of attack would be a near-impossible task. By the time we'd be done trying to coordinate a plan, I figure the lions and cheetahs would have already devoured us, not to mention the larger animals like the elephants....

I feel like the animal kingdom tries literally all the time. Women being eaten by snakes, whales attacking boats, dogs killing babies, etc.

Even if they made a coordinated effort, they'd merely take us by surprise for a moment and then we'd kick the shit outta them once we realize what's happening. First of all: we have weapons.

They have them on some international models of Hyundai electric cars. It's not nearly enough to power the car or charge the battery, though. It's more to just slow the battery down while it powers low-power things and look cool (it's part of the trim package). Solar panels need to be way more efficient than they are now for them to really make a difference with such a relatively small surface area.

I certainly would prefer a plastic backing than a glass one. Why the fuck does every phone have to be encased entirely in glass? It breaks and it's slippery as fuck, making it more prone to slip out of your hand and break. It's so ubiquitous and universally fucking stupid that I am convinced it's purposely designed so you will drop and break it so you have to pay to fix or replace it.

Every heavy duty aftermarket phone case is mostly plastic and rubberized silicone. Because that shit is 1000 times more durable and shock resistant than glass. Glass's great only for being scratch resistant. There's no reason that every phone couldn't have an otter box-like outer shell built in.

Afaik, it's possible for any file to be infected with a virus. Videos themselves can be, and .MKV is a container of other files (video, audio, subtitles). The video source, audio source or even .txt containing the subtitles could be a malicious virus inside the container.

However, when someone online shares an opinion and it feels like they might be intolerant and you jump to the conclusion that they are intolerant and you launch into a tirade at them, this is not nice behavior. You didn’t check if they have the opinion you think they have, and that’s simply not nice to someone which you don’t know.

Very much this. Just because someone asked a question, does not automatically mean they are JAQing off. And I see people immediately jumping to that conclusion upon any questions being asked about sensitive topics.

That exists. It's called adaptive charging. If you have a modern Pixel: Just set an alarm before plugging the phone in, and it will slow the charge to hit 100% when the alarm goes off. I don't know what other phones have this feature but I'm pretty sure it's just part of Android 14 if the hardware is compatible.
