I get the feeling the real answer is just sexism. Jobs similar to social work or just filing and paperwork anywhere tend to be majority female in my observation. Just like how manufacturing and other physical labor jobs are mostly men.

That's why DMCA exists. For the most part, the Internet is full of copyright infringement that is simply never acted upon. DMCA shit makes it so the posters and the host aren't liable for infringement, so long as they comply with official take downs within X period of time (with a chance to appeal).

Because certain types of text aren't actually copyrightable. You can't copyright a fact, for one.

Copyright does not protect facts, ideas, systems, or methods of operation, although it may protect the way these things are expressed.

For some of those (ideas, systems, or methods of operation) you need a patent. Even with the copyright clause in a comment, it might not be valid. At least concerning US laws.

Torrenting exposes your public IP. In a country where government doesn't care, does that pose a risk?

I honestly don't believe I will have any legal trouble because I don't do anything like cp or worse, I just pirate media I like, not even porn. But across users of communities, or on public trackers, is IP exposure something to be concerned about?

I actually was recording when I made the most gnarly mun landing ever in KSP. I ran out of fuel, was going too fast to not explode. I moved Valetina to hang on the outside of the craft, and moments before impact, I had her jump off. The resulting explosion from the module was juuuust enough counter force to prevent Valentina herself from hitting the ground too hard and she lived to plant a flag. To date, it's the most impressive thing I've personally managed in the game.

I thought he was funny in the 90's. I saw a newer stand up special he did a couple years ago and was totally turned off by his views and the fact that not one of his jokes were actually funny.

Same with Dennis Miller.

I've been told when I went to bitch about that special on Reddit that he was only funny before because he wasn't writing his own jokes, and I'm not sure if that is actually true but it would make sense.

The only thing I crave when it's hot is water. Juice is tasty, but it is not thirst quenching or cooling. If I'm trying to cool off or hydrate, I don't want anything with sugar (or sugar substitutes) in it.

I do drink a lot of pineapple juice in most other situations, though. I love pineapple 🤤

Don't even have to call a library or declare a variable! Meanwhile, I can't even remember the shit you need to put in front of every C/C++ program (HREF/void.h or something; it's usually there automatically these days in some compilers, like Visual Studio).

I've seen these romance scams happen in real time while I was a relay operator. The people falling for them are just... Sad. Imagine being so sad and lonely, you'd literally do anything for anyone who says anything kind to you. That's who falls for these. The scammer doesn't even work at it. They just be like "I love you baby, can you send me $15,000?" And the victim is like "Yeah baby, I can do that."

The NCR seems to represent the real world government and what is normal in reality. They have made missteps that have led to tragedy but overall, are still good and probably the best chance that world has to returning to how things were before the bombs fell.

The BOS are technofascists and the Legion are Luddite fascists. They have practically the same ideas for how they want to control the world, but have opposite ideals about technology.

The only faction worse than the previous two is the Enclave, which represent the fear of government; they embody every aspect of every anti-government conspiracy featured in pop culture. The shadow government; the illuminati; the men in black.

I want to mention the Institution, but they're just so poorly written and can swing from Enclave-like evil to not being evil at all after the Sole Survivor takes over that I honestly just hope the show never bothers to mention them because they don't fit as neatly into the world as the rest, which were created by better writers.

You've just described astroturfing with the appeal to friendship thing. You may not always know if a random dude on social media who talks about a thing is doing so because they actually like it, or if they're a paid shill. They even sometimes run smear campaigns against competing products, so if someone is badmouthing a thing, they could have been paid to do that also.
