That is seriously cool actually, I knew they spent a long time in the air, but it's a different story to actually see it in action.

Amazing video actually.

Ilovethebomb ,

Is that factoring in the ballistic arc, or a direct line?

It'll take a few spectacular failures and bankruptcies before people figure out AI isn't quite what's being sold to them, I feel.

This sounds more like a clarification on existing policy, although it is telling they've said it so explicitly.

I do wonder at what point will Russia accept they simply can't win this though? Ukraine is getting more and more advanced weapons systems, and ever increasing quantities of supplies and ammunition, while Russia is running out of everything. What's the end game?

Just create demented shitposts that will poison any AI, like the ones trained on Reddit posts telling users to put glue on their pizza and make chlorine gas.

Ilovethebomb ,

That is pretty much the definition of a destroyer, to be fair.

Ilovethebomb ,

Better standard of execution.

Although we definitely mock the Russians for things we applaud Ukraine for, partly because they're the plucky, under-resourced defenders, so field modifications and making do are something to be applauded, while the invading Russian forces should really have the right equipment.

Russia was anticipating an attack using jets and ballistic missiles, they likely didn't consider a Cessna a threat.

Ilovethebomb ,

I'd heard this story before, and having fighter aircraft on standby with no weapons seemed utterly ridiculous at the time, and still does.

As does taking an hour to load them.

Ilovethebomb ,

They may work for non plug in hybrids, which have quite small batteries that cycle a lot, but the energy density is far too low for full EV vehicles.

Lead acid has been there for a hundred years, lithium phosphate is another option.

Not really, my local polling place I drive straight past on my way home, it probably takes five minutes out of my day at most.

Any functioning democracy should be like this.

Ilovethebomb ,

I do think you're right, the chances of a hit going wrong are far too high.

Ilovethebomb ,

That looked to be a big drone, a good few metre wingspan.

Ilovethebomb ,

I have my doubts about how accurate all these claims are, and whether other causes are being attributed to friendly fire, but there's an astonishing number of cases like this.

I guess largely because both sides have very similar equipment.

Welding fumes are no joke, without the proper protection, it will take years off your life.
